How do you peel a banana?

I ate a banana earlier and it triggered a debate between my sister and me about the proper way to peel a banana. I peel from the stem side whereas she peels from the end without the stem. I decided to Google an answer just for kicks and found amusing arguments for both sides.

So...how do you peel?

Although weird you ask... Today this thought came up in my head, how bananas are the only fruit that are convenient to peel.

I don't eat many whole bananas, but stem down is the easiest. I normally only have them sliced and that goes from the middle out.

I go from the stem down, then I chop off the end (not the stem end, the other end). I'm not sure why, I've always done it that way.
