Is it just my server or is Neopets really slow. It's been this way for about three days or so. Anyone else experencing congestion also? PPT seems to be going normal speed so that's why I ask.

I was noticing it earlier, but as I just went around and did the dalies right now, it seemed to be running normally.

It's because of the fighting in the battledome and the normal spike in server load that occurs around 5:00 EST every day.

No worries - as people get battled out, it'll speed up again. Probably be back up to good speeds in the next couple of days.

I'm noticing it around the time the Snowager is asleep. But, I have also gotten a few red Pteri pages and IE "Page cannot be found" pages during the past few days.

But, also, you might want to check a few things on your computer. I am picking up a lot of cookies while on Neopets with all of the new banner ads. After you get enough of them, they can really slow your computer down. I suggest a periodic deletion of cookies (I do it every hour or so with Pest Patrol--which allows you to select which the ones you want to delete). And check to make sure you have enough disk space allocated to hold your temporary internet files. I periodically delete these as well.

The lag has been amazing, especially yesterday and today! Getting pages with just the yellow across the top of the page - nothing else, alot of refresh pages too. The banner ads aren't helping as far as our temporary internet cache either. The newish AOL call alert ad? I don't know what's up with that one, but I know that ad's there before it shows up. It makes the page take almost a minute to load. And that awful Cursorzone that makes your mouse go nuts. Real fun that one trying to buy something or battle.

From around 1 pm nst till around 7 or 8 pm nst seems to be the busiest time as far as sheer numbers of people on with the war happening. That's when I see the worst lag/refresh pages.

So, that's why my arrow keeps fluttering on me. I thought I was going nuts at first (no comment) and then figured it was my computer doing something weird. Grrrr!!!!

I am now finding it hard to load my guild and it seems that the guild posts are posting twice every so often.

Double Grrrr!

Thanks for the heads up on the cursor thing. I honestly had no idea why my cursor was flashing either. O.o

And Neopets is a bit laggy for me too. But I also think something is wrong with my computer (gotta clean out them darn cookies -_-) because it's freezing up. (Just wondering, can anyone else play that Christy Carlson Romano Personality Quiz thingamajigger? That's where I'm getting stuck...)

It's working fine for me. But, those Music Bisto's always seem to have snags in them. I couldn't get past the second level of the Hillary Duff game when it was being featured.
