Just a question for you people blocking top ads

None have you have been frozen for blocking the top ads have you? how long have you been doing it? just wondering because I'm tempted to do it myself

Been doing it since the big banner ads first come out, nothing's happened to me yet :/ But I haven't been getting any faerie quests or good REs since then :cry:

Go ahead and block the ads, Neo has no way of detecting it anyway me thinks....

I have been blocking the ads since they first appeared, and I am fine. But on the other hand, I do have premium.

Well premium is what I really want to get but its always full! As I asked in the premium thread if you can fill me in on what URL you used what time of day/day/language/browser whatever

Id rather get premium than block ads

I am playing on free account and blocking all the ads since they were first implemented. I still get tons of awesome Random Events. Just last week, Dr. Sloth gave me a Cybunny Transmogrification potion.

They can't tell whether you're blocking the ads because all you've done is give IE a command not to show the image. It still loads it, so from Neopets' end, everything looks the same.

In other words, they can't tell, so you won't be frozen. Adam even came here and advised us to block the ads. Fear not :hug:

I've been blocking them since they appeared.

Neo has no way of telling whether they're blocked or not - I believe they theoretically still load, just don't display.

You can safely block the top ads:

1) TNT has absolutely no way to know that you've blocked them.
2) Adam says it is ok to block it.

I've blocked the top and side ads since the top ads came out, and the bottom ads since they did. No problems on any of my family's accounts.

I don't even know how to block them. XD

The only ads that really bother me are the ones at the bottom of the page, since they sometimes end up in the center of the page and I have to refresh.

Can someone PM me or direct me towards how to block bottom ads I'm sure top ads is around somewhere I'm using IE.

I remember something about Adam saying blocking ads is ok was it in the NT times does anyone have that issue?
