Definitely. Pages don't load initially, and will take 10-20 seconds to even start loading.

It is slow for me as well. I went to the bank and it was strangely slow for me.

I find that only certain area in the website are slow:

- Shop Wizard
- Bank
- Quests (after you accept them)
- Wheels

At least I know it is not my connection (phew).

I can almost say Is Neopet down ?

That's true for me too, but you should add the trading post to your list.

I can't even seem to get on. I enter in "neopets.com" and it took so long to load that I just gave up and came here. (I might be a tad impatient though. )

I'm finally back for the summer, although hopefully I'll spend a little more time away from this screen.

I can almost say Is Neopet down ?

It's also slow in holland, and I'm on a 100mbit line :)
I guess it's their server and not our connections.

I read that TNT said they wouldn't show the red pteri much anymore because their servers are so much better, but I'm beginning to wonder if they don't show the red pteri, they're allowing everyone to enter the site even if the servers can't handle it. I'd rather have a red pteri now and then...

Me too. At least with the red petri it is fairer since everyone can't access the site, but with this kind of unpredictable lagginess it would be quite unfair, since some people may load faster than the others...

Even without pictures if you're using the search wizard it takes forever to get an answer.

We should get automatically that Pteri as opponent when we encounter that problem. I would like to beat a bit (a lot). I have good weapons now.

.

100 Mb . Fiber-optic to your home. I can get it. $10 more per month.
It's faster between you and your provider in upload and dowload. But when the bottleneck is with the server you access is it worth ?

Zenia when you switch from (? lower speed) to 100Mb did you notice any gain with Neopets ?

I get the 100 mbit connection from my university, and I had it before I started playing neopets so I can't answer you there. But more general, when the uni upgraded from 10 mbit to 100 mbit, I hardly noticed any difference. There aren't much servers where I could download faster than 10 mbit anyway. The biggest difference that I notice with the fast connection is when I download from someone who is connected through the same university as me :)

Yeah. I've noticed the extreme lagging as well.

And the toolbar download thingy isn't working either.
