Geos Question

Mon Dec 13, 2004 4:16 am

I just recently decided to give Geos tournament a try. Can someone please explain to me how this works...A general explination would be great. I mean, I understand that I am supposed to make these shapes, but what does my opponent have to do with this and how is a winner determined. Also, can I build one shape off of the next...IE...build the square off of the end of the rectangle using some of bugs that made the rectangle as a side? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

the making of the shapes is the easy part. IF your opponent tries to place thier piece hwere yours is, your whole shape gets erased.

Or at least that is what I THINK happens. I never got that far. The competition always forfeited.

basically, you put pieces on the board to complete shapes... if you put a piece on a square that's already occupied by an opponent's piece, it is destroyed as long as it's not part of a completed shape. If you try to put a piece on his completed shape, it'll disallow it. At the top it'll also tell you which of your opponent's shapes have been completed.

There was a... bug.. a long while ago, that allowed you to complete all the shapes at once... I wonder if that was ever resolved.... Basically, you set it all up so the shapes overlapped, then the final piece completed them all. From what I can tell, there was a flaw in their shape-completion routine, so that it didn't bounce out of the routine once it found a completed shape. I'm tempted to test the bug again, but don't wanna get iced for it. -.-
