Everyone saying that the person is a liar makes me sad.
Liar or no liar, they shouldn't just go accusing someone without all the facts.

I don't think someone's mother would be on the boards a week after her son died....still, they are a bit harsh.

If I had a kid and they died.... THE FIRST THING I'D DO WOULD BE TO POST ON THE NEOBOARDS!
They are looking for people who knew them.
On page 2 someone did know them.

Why would you be on the boards?...
Doesn't make much sense to me.

Probably looking for his friends so they can know their friend was killed in a car crash, his mother didn't know what to do so she posted there...

Yep, find people who knew them.
Tell them what happened.
Ask if they knew anything like he/she was trying to die on purpose.
Not just neoboards, say if someone went on a different site, ask all the people on that different site if they knew them.

Personally, I don't believe her. First off, she appears to not know Neopets whatsoever. Says stuff like "however you go by" when talking about a Neopets user and asking "what's that" when someone says she has been reported. If she didn't know what "reported is" and she admits to never going on Neopets before now, how did she know how to get to the chats and post messages? And, she sent a neomail to one of his friends, yet doesn't know how to retrieve one?

And I am a mom. And, I lost my sister at the age of 17 in a car accident, so I know what a person like that would go through. Call me very suspicious and extremely skeptical. A fellow mom who just lost her son would not do that. Not that I would write anything on the board to prove her wrong. However, I would just ignore it. Basically, my guess is that it is some smart aleck yanking our chain.

And, if it really is a mom. Poor thing. Going to strangers rather than the kid's real friends to ask why. But, I really and truly doubt it.

Yes, people on the neoboards are cruel. I try to stay on Avatar Chat. People are a little nicer there. :)

I can understand her wanting to let his neofriends know he passed in a car accident.
The problem with the neoboards is there are at least 10 boards of "this that or the other" died so alot of people get it in their head that every board that has anything to do with someone/something dying is someone looking for atention.

Everyone deals with grief differnetly, and for anyone to jump all over the poster like some did is just sad. If they don't blieve the post then they should just move on to the next topic and let that topic fade to the bottom.

Well, as we all know we still have Attention *Blanked out*s on these chats, so hey, give or take, I'm not going to trust her/him/it nor am I going aganist them.

morningstar, there are other forums out there ... i.e. Parentstalk.com or ign boards...

also, neopets has different names for everything - Reported for "telling a mod", Frozen for Banned etc... A lot of people know how to post on boards :P

yeah she says that her son spent most of his time online, but if you look at the account, its a year old with practicly nothing on it. no trophies, average pet, nothing in the shop, no battledome stats, stamps or anything of the sort. if this kid was really playing a lot like this lady says he did, there would be a lot more then is there.

Because Neopets is the only site on the internet...
