Someone has artificially inflated the price of jewel encrusted bowls.
Make sure you don't make yourself sad by accepting it for one of your precious items.

I know for awhile months and months ago it was worth about 14k, I bought one for my collection (its been sold since then). However, as it was long ago when I checked the prices it could have fluctuated greatly since then, I don't know the price prior to this major inflation.

I dont know about you guys but, I bougth one for 7k a few weeks ago, I am going to take advantage of this situation and try to sell, since its price WILL deflate eventually, and I think this is as much expensive as they will get...

I hate false inflation.
I can't see that anyone will buy at those prices anyway - it doesn't have a use, unless you collect LC prizes.

I think I got 7K for mine...
False inflation is not cool! And you'd think they'd try to inflate something more valuable in the first place. The jewel encrusted bowl's pretty useless.

If anyone is going to sell such an item, please don't sell it too high. Yes, their inflated, and you may think that is wonderful for getting a massive profit, but come on. Don't do that to your self or anyone else who might actually need the bowl for a valued quest (Rainbow, Jhudora, Illusen).
Make a profit, but be reasonable. If your puchased it for 75k, sell it for 150k. You've made back your profit, then sold the bowl for the price you purchased it.
Oh, and check people if you do this. Check their trades, see what items they have. These things for lower prices should go to people who need them. Investigate a little into peopels accounts

I'm sure they get alot of people accepting on big items ... thinking they are getting a great deal.
I had an offer of 4 of them on a full lab map. I thought it was pretty funny ... there is no way I'd actually accept, though.

i thought false inflation was reportable? Of course, you'd have to know who started it.
This happens from time to time. For some reason the only thing that comes to mind at the moment is the tyrannian amulet. It was something that you couldn't sell even for super cheap. Suddenly one night the price shot up from somewhere around 1,500 np to over 25k and kept rising. Never got to UB, but the price was close to it.
Just as fast, the price dropped back to the pre-false inflated price (and even lower than before).
As I recall some people were posting on boards that it was really rare, was about to be retired, all sorts of claims - none of which were true. And most of us know that retired does not always equal high price

something more valuable in the first place would already have an inflated price
