Ha.. they totally read PPT

Last time the Lenny Conundrum came out, someone here complained about the use of American measurements, and a whole discussion ensued about what kind of measurements it was fair to use in the LC.

This week, they've picked a selection of really random and obscure measurements:

A mad scientist needs to conduct a strange experiment that only he really understands. He must fill a rectangular tank that measures 3 fathoms by 2 rods by 1/40 of a furlong. He fills it with a clear, odorless liquid with a density of about 3,678,675 grains per US hogshead.

How many kips of the substance does he require to fill the tank? Please round up to the nearest kip.

Hehe - totally mocking us :P

Of course they are.

So of course, I had to take a jab at it (50)

i think that's the perfect response to such accusations. A+, TNT. :D

Bah... thats nothing... at IDB they copy us left and right :D .

I really enjoyed that Lenny C though, playing around with measurements in fun. Im glad that they have picked the "hardness" ot the Lenny C up a degree or two recently. :)

:P I remeber all the talk about why TNT uses feet and inches and all of that. It's good thing I have a bucketload of conversion in the back of my notebook. I could never remember what a hogshead or a kip is. ^_^

I wouldn't really worry about being careful, some staff interact very casually with us as well as looking into our suggestions (and adding the special Pink Poogle Toy description) It's not a bad thing most of the time.

They love us ;)

I use fathoms, rods, furlongs a lot of the course of a school year. Kips not as much, but I have used them all. I'm an evil TA ;).

But yup, they're being a pain in the butt ;).

I love that description! TNT is always on here, but some of them aren't too fond of us. Soupfaerie expressed her distaste when Naniwai and I talked to her at the Mall Tour.

She probably does not approve of the animal abuse here. ;)

TNT did a great job at refuting us... that said, the obscure measurements were still US measurements.
