TCG event lies!

Ever since the neopets TCG started their tourneys, they have said it is at Coyote's Den in Canandaigua, NY.
BadEvilCookie from her lives around there.
So I asked her to go there for information.
The manager said they never heard of it at all.
Now why would Neopets advertise it being there if it is not?
I almost got my Dad to drive me 3 hours to go there for an event that doesn't happen!

Closest to me is Duluth, GA...I better check into it...not like I can go...I'd just dress up and look like a freak. XD

Has the Cyote's Den held one before? Because they may have just carried over the list from before. However, Wizards of the Coast, not Neopets, selects the stores based on applications to run the event. The shop I will be playing at in Ohio has been planning this for weeks. Someone may just be hoarding the trophy and prize product for themselves...

"1985" is very different from Kokomo
*ahem* Back to the point of the subject...
Likely there was some partnership between WotC (not Neopets) and the store mentioned at some point (because most TCG leagues have to have a sponsor). All I can guess is that they may have broken that partnership at some point and Neopets may not have an up to date list.

They do sell the neopets trading cards.......

Actaully I live IN Canandaigua, and go to dance practice at the studio behind the store. They sell TCG cards and hold all sorts of tournaments, but they don't have the organized...thing.
I assume maybe the peopls responsible for setting up these things, assumed that since they sell TCG's and hold tournaments of all kinds *It's a card/rpg game store* that they would hold the organized thingymabob's.
Eh then again it's Cannadiagua...not much happens here. Unless it's a concert at the college.
