Spoppy 2 & 3?

I was just browsing through Neoitems, when I came across the Spoppy petpet, and next to it was Spoppy II and Spoppy III.

Spoppy II is described as "A Secret Spoppy"
Spoppy III is described as "A SUPER Secret Spoppy"

No-one seems to own them, so what are they?

What I remember reading was that Spoppy II was given out to special friends of the TNT. Then later people found out how to get it and the Spoppy III was created.

Only one Spoppy III exists..

Yup that's what I've heard..and I try to be a petpet expert, heehee There are between 10 and 20 Spoppy II's in existance and only the one Spoppy III. Usually they come up in the "what's the rarest petpet" type discussions, often with the argument that they don't count as they were intended for staff members only =)

So then whats the point? If they look the same, then why are they so special? If TNT wanted to give a special petpet to sertian people, you'd think they'd do SOMTHING to it to make it uber cool or somthing...

I remember those from a loooong time ago. TNT never explained what they were, but I found them years and years ago and wondered what they were. I suppose it was something they meant to have, but never did.

Because if they'd had some original cool looking petpet that only TNT staff could have there would have been outrage about it, people moaning that they could never own this new and cool looking petpet.

But to make it exactly like another petpet but with a special name - that makes it original but not enough for people to be jumping up and down demanding it be released for everyone. Neopets is a game site for people to play, the staff don't want people being resentful of them for getting a special item no one else can.


So there are Spoppy's for everyone, Spoppy II's for a select few and ONE Spoppy III. TNT get a special perk, more like an in joke really, and no one has their noses put out of joint.
