Really coming soon.. promise...

They might as well not bother, and just have a really long one this week

Tue Apr 19, 2005 12:32 pm

Just hope that when it comes out it's really worth it...

My guess is that they're gonna release a load of maraqua things this wednesday and at the same time they'll release a maraquan editorial...

i don't see why they bother with deadlines for themselfs if there not gonna make it, heck just do a monthy editoral and make it 4 times as long as it normally would be,they try to promise to much at one period in time...

I'm wondering why they have an Editorial, period. Maybe it would be easier if they just gave up on the Editorial and gave us a few hints, tips, sneak-peeks, etc every so often in the News.

I hope they don't start it for a while. Why? Let's see, the last war did not go well at all. Top prizes went to the Elite, and those able to afford the cures needed from the first 3 BD challengers in the HATIC thing.

Personally, let the plot take its course first; then let's see what they have for us in the "war" they're planning. Weapons have shot up the inflation ladder so I'm sitting out of this one.

But I hope, for most battledomers's sakes that this war doesn't end up being a royal flop like the last one was. I spent the near entirety of the last one trying to get my then-BD pet healed >>;

What I don't understand is, I know there is a lot going on at TNT and everyone is busy, but why is there not time to answer ten or so questions once a week? Is it answering the questions that takes so long or going through them all and picking the ones to answer? If it's the latter, I can understand there must be tons to go through and that's a lot of work, but it's still only a handful of questions once a week. Even if one question was picked a day and written out and then they were all compiled on Friday or whatever, that's seven questions. I just don't see why the editorial is always late when it's probably the most read part of the Neopian Times.

To be fair, pretty much every war since the first Meridell one has been surprisingly dissapointing (The last one being the worst by far).

I suppose the idea is to play for the sake of having fun, and not expecting much in return. Which is the way to play this game, I think, specially since you can never expect too much from it.

The editorial though, that does bug me. Find a spare 15 minutes and just type it up, they're not hard to write. I could see sifting through questions being somewhat tedious, but life is full of tedious things.

Hey, if worst came to worst and TNT didn't have time to go through all the Editorial questions from the week and pick 10 couldn't they just use the first 10 appropriate ones and then leave the rest of another week when they have more time?

Bleh, really late again. I agree that they should set aside a half-hour or so every week to get this done on time . . . however, all the questions sent in are most likely "Can't we adopt the April Fools pets?"

Hmm, maybe they'll be nice and actually answer the question that I send in every week: "Will you please release the Darigan Pteri?" :x

I've said it before. The ediotrial is important because its the only opportunity for users to effectively communicate with TNT. It is an essential part to the longevity of the site. If anything, perhaps Donna should find a spare 15 minutes and put up 5 questions everyday. Keep the feeling that users actually matter to them going all week long.

a few years ago maybe we mattered but i'm with Medusa on this one why bother with it? like 99% of the questions they post are things we all known for years or months, once in awhile theres actually a decent question

I liked the time someone went into the BD neoboard and took questions. I think if they don't have time to go through them all, questions collected from a neoboard or fan site would be nice. I'd not want that every week, but once in a while would be good. :)

Ok, bear with me on this one.

Donna writes the big editorial for the Times, but everyday 4 or 5 questions are answered by other staff members. Different department everyday. Maybe then we could actually get some of the specific questions we have answered by the monitors team, or the support team, or the legal eagles, or the art team, or the programmers or whatever.

Heck, those guys are busy, but one team member gives up 15 minutes once a week and the entire site population actually feels like they're being listened to. Plus it'll get rid of some of those annoying questions we all know and they can start answering questions we've had since day 1.

And of course, if they're all busy, which they are, they can always let some guy with nothing to do write it... Like Doug. I know there's a few questions I wouldn't mind asking him.
