I'm sick of this!!

Mon Jun 20, 2005 5:00 pm

Along time ago I found a Krawk in the pound, it was great. It had good stats, a nice name, Won the BC once... I loved it. At the time I had no reply from any previous owner, so I just looked after it like it was my own. I trained it some more, entered it into the BC again [and won]. I was so happy! A few months after this I was frozen. The reason was totally unrelated, but I was unfairly frozen. One staff member believed me, and offered to transfer some of my pets, Obviously I chose my Krawk because I'd looked after it for a few months now, I was pleased with her. I looked through all the previous BC entries, and then found out the previous owners username because it was featured on the entry. I neomailed them, saying I was now looking after the Krawk and everything was good. She then rudely accused me of stealing her pet and all this kind of stuff. I was so angry! Never would I dare of stealing her pet! I couldn't contact her because she had neofriends only. She neomailed me a couple of weeks later saying 'btw I have contacted neopets about you' I got even MORE angry! She doesn't even know my side of the story!!! She later bought premium so I sent her an email to her neo-webmail address, She still accused me of stealing her pet, Saying 'How does stealing a pet making you a good owner?' and saying that she'd now reported me for harrasement. This annoyed me so much, I tried to reply - but she'd blocked my emails! Yesterday she neomailled me, Still telling me about how I stole her pet and saying stop trying to contact her (although I wasn't, I did send her some items for her shoyru gallery though) and how she was going to report me for harrasement. If anyone should be reporting for harrasement it should be me!! Not only does she keep telling me I stole her pet, on her pets lookup it says 'Created after some ______ stole [pet name]' It annoys me so much! I didn't steal a pet at all! :x Why does she not believe I got this just like any other person? Fair and square in the pound.. There is no way to steal a neopet!!

Yeah I think that is pretty ridiculous. I mean, even if she was trying to transfer the pet or something, any pet in the pound is up for grabs. It's her fault for putting it in the pound to begin with. I would just ignore her neomails/block her. Neopets won't do anything about it, because it even says in the pound "Note: The pound should not be used to transfer Neopets to new owners,
selling Neopets to other people is a freezable offence."

you know what.

I'd be the one to report her for harrassment, that's what she's been doing to you neomailling you that you stole her pet, and that she's reported you for it.

block her and forget her, also report where it says you stole her pet on the other pet lookup.

I agree, report her for harassment quoting where she says you stole her pet and report the nasty neomails you have been getting. Include a note saying that you found the pet in the pound and received no neomail from anyone claiming it was theirs.

I do have some sympathy for people who lose pets in transfers but if they don't even make the effort to contact the new owner then it's a bit rich to drag it up again later.

But at the end of the day transferring pets isn't allowed so if she's reporting you for that then she'll only get in trouble herself, and as long as your neomails were polite she won't get anywhere with reporting those either.

I feel for either side when it comes to an interrupted transfer. I've always hated that Neopets still won't introduce a safe way to transfer and I've lost one pet to someone particularly nasty who hasn't logged in since. It's been three years. However, if they've waited MONTHS before contacting you without a reason as to why, and immediately accused you of theft instead of humbly asking for them back, they don't really care about the pet and are just being a jerk. I'd send any neomails or emails they've sent you to whoever unfroze your account and add them to your block list.

I sent off a report, thanks guys. I forgot to include any or the neomails or emails but I put a link to her pets' user lookup which suggests I stole it. It's not like its just her neomailling me either, People who see her pets lookup neomail me saying 'did you enjoy stealing _________?' I am sick of all this business! I tried being nice, I told her I was looking after it, Sent her a 30k plushie for free for her gallery (i'm not exactly rich) and then get accused of stealing her pet!!

I suggest blocking your neomails.

Something a lot like that happened to me, about 3 years ago. I picked up a really great cloud elephante, lvl 18, out of the pound. The next day I got a neomail from the original owner telling me how her account had been hacked and the elephante was stolen, but I picked him up instead of the hacker. The previous owner and I actually got to be pretty good friends and I agreed to return the elephante, but her computer went crazy during the transfer and someone else got the pet. Then that person started sending awful, hateful emails and neomails saying how we had both been in on hackinghis account and stealing the elephante, then he reported us and got us both frozen.

I guess that is better than me, who transfered three lab pets to a spare account and got neomail from people claiming I stole THIER pet and to please return it to the pound.

Wow. That really sucks. I feel very sorry for you. I hope there is a way to get the pet back.

People like that oughta be ashamed of themselves. What if you were some five year old kid (hypothetically speaking) exploring the cyberworld for the first time by yourself and they acted like that? The kid might take it really hard, or even worse, think that this is acceptable internet etiquette and start acting like that themselves. Go report their happy err...behind. Boy, how I wish I could swear when I'm ranting on here... :x

Well maybe she's trying to get more items out of you considering you already sent her some.

I would just send a letter to TNT, then totally ignore her. She can't do anything to you if you just don't talk to her. If you keep trying to explain yourself to her- who knows what other false stuff she'll come up with.

It's better to just ignore people like that- rather than keep talking to them and encouraging them to keep sending you rude things.

It is too bad. And the story of the people lying and saying that labbed pets were really their's is sad, too.

I lab pets and put them back up for adoption, and I do see who adopted them. It makes me sad when somebody grabs them up and then doesn't show up for months.

Reading the other posts here makes me wonder if people scam others by claiming that the pet had been stolen and demanding a big chunk of np for it. Very sad.
