I got frozen... for using a 'cheat' program.
The night before, someone who I haven't talked to in a LONG time just MSNed me and asked me if I play Neopets regularily. I said yes, and he said he was quitting and would like to give me some items before he left. I said sure, and he gave me two paintbrushes. Darigan and Baby. I was suspicious as the account was like three weeks old, but he said that that was his gallery account or something, and I didn't want to seem like I didn't trust him, so I tucked it away in my safety deposit box.
I realize that was a stupid thing to do, and I should've just sent it back, or discard it. But I guess greed got to the best of me. Would I still have a chance at getting it back?
I dont know what to do right now, I really like Neopets, but after all my hardwork is destroyed by a single stupid decision, I'm not so sure if I can start over again.
I guess I'll try to contact some staff, can anyone PM me any good e-mail addresses?

Hopefully you can get it back. I think that it's absolutely stupid that TNT ices people who have completely different IP addresses and E-mail addresses for autobuying if they simply keep something they are sent from a cheater without knowing they cheat, I'm really sorry and hope you can get your account back.
My favourtie staff (they actually replied to me) are
mailto:marielle@support.neopets.com
mailto:jennifer@support.neopets.com
Justexplain your situation and don't sound whingy and hopefully they'll see you just made a stupid mistake you'll learn from.

WIS! OMG I am so sorry. Trying to log in and seeing that page has got to be the worst thing, it's kind of like getting punched in the stomach.
Definitely use the autoform, explain everything you can - if you have the MSN conversation saved, that might help too. That would show that the person contacted you, said they were quitting, wanted to give you some things. Give TNT the username and the items given to you and why (especially if you don't have the MSN saved).
If that person did cheat somehow (though I'm not sure how someone could use any kind of program to get those pb), and they passed them onto you, then according to that newer rule (which I really hate) you can be frozen because you "benefitted" from the other person cheating.
Otherwise, have you played any particular flash games lately? There's a couple of games I won't play - ever. Volcano Run comes to mind. Many people have been frozen for allegedly cheating on that one, Neo has yet to fix whatever the problem is with it.
Names? Don't really know any or who's the best at really looking into a situation. Bryan used to be excellent -- but he was transferred to another department. Marielle is super nice. I received a great email from her, but it wasn't about a frozen account, it was to let TNT know that there were 2 people using this computer to play Neopets.
Please keep us posted on how you're doing. If you need anything, please let me know.

Come to think of it, I've recently got the avatar for Attack of the Slorg and Dubloon Disaster...
I think thats not the case though, as they didn't even need to review my score.

WIS

*hugs* Use the auto-form. Explain your case clearly and give as much evidenace as possible. I remember someone saying that if you don't get a response by the end of the week to send it again. It takes a while for them, sometimes. Hm, I can't think of anyone you could email at the moment, sorry :/

I'm so so so sorry!

I got hacked last week and when I logged in...not identical to being frozen of course, I still have my account-but I know how hard it is- and the shock! I did nothing wrong either...I say you email the two that Jamie mentioned and simply wait it out.

My god WIS, I'm so sorry. But like everyone is saying, just use the form and don't sound like a whiny New Member. Be mature about it. And giving them the MSN convo is a good idea also. I hope you get it back *hugs*

I have just a little tidbit of advice, when mailing ask that the items in question be deleted immediately. They -should- catch on to the logic that if you don't have the expensive items, you're not benefitting from any "cheating"

I know they'll definitely do it anyway, but show that you want no part of this big hassle, it should set a good impression I'd think?
Good luck, hope this all works out for you! It must be a nightmare

I'm sorry that you were frozen

It may seem like it is hard to start over but from my experience (I've had to start over 3 or 4 times), it is actually easier than it seems. You have more knowledge about the site then when you first started so it will be easier to make neopoints in the beginning than it was when you began using the site. After about the first month or so you will probably feel more comfortable about having started over and start to become successful over again. If you decide you don't want to start over and want to try getting your account back (I suggest starting over
and trying to get your account back) I recommend emailing
mailto:vipada@support.neopets.com, she has helped me in the past. Good luck
