OK, what am I? A target for crazy neomailers?

I swear I attract the crazies on Neopets like flies to honey. A little while ago, as some of you might remember, I got a crazy neomail from a girl asking if I needed a babysitter. I do, from time to time, need one, but the jet fuel costs for this girl to fly from Kansas to my house will kill all of her profit margin.

Well, the neomail I got today tops any that I have ever gotten:

hey i heard about you and my name is XXXXXXX and i wanted to get to know you better. i'm seventeen and i'm new maybe we could share items and things only i should know if you know what i'm sayin. i'm black and proud of it. iwanted to know if you will accept this i'm not playin a game if i get to know you. maybe i'll ask you to be my neo-girlfriend. so neo-mail back. so we can talk.

(I deleted his name for his own safety)

He then proceeded to offer 75 nps and a fish on one of my trades--a rare plushie that I am asking 160K for. Oh, yes, I jumped at the offer.

Neo-girlfriend? Had to laugh at that one. More like Neo-granny!

I do believe that I am targetted because of all of the pretty neggs, codestones and plushies in my shop. Do people really think that I am that dumb?

So, anyone else getting weird neomails? I can't be the only one! I would love for this to become a sticky, mods. Because some of these neomails shouldn't fade away to page 2.

I got this neomail yesterday
"Want 10mil? + a pb? Go to my lookup"
So I decided to look at it to see what kind of scam it was before I reported him and it said " This user has been disabled"

Too many crazy people these days on Neopets. They need to be screened!

I once got a neomail saying that the person was my long lost friend and he was in dire need or neopoints or something. And I was like... Really?! Of course I didn't believe them

A few people have gotten something similar from that guy recently, the basic idea is that I send a petpet to him and he pays me back in a week The account he "gave" an xmas pb too is an obvious side account - it has an almost identical name! I guess I should really have reported that when I got it, I kinda forgot about it.

The other fun one was when I was buying a pirate pppb from trades, I offered the going rate and was told they had a higher bid and would I offer more. I say thanks but no thanks and cancel my offer, only to be told to offer again. I say thanks but no thanks again and get a sob story about how they cancelled the other persons offer as they were sure I would offer more as I have nice pets. A little greedy, no? By now I already bought another one for what I was offering so I got...

The only other strange ones I get are people saying I should reduce a price on a petpet as they can't afford that and one asking for the electric pb I'd used to paint my wocky when he was that colour. Those ones I just assume are kids though I think I avoid most of the crazies as I'm not active on the neoboards and my only neofriends are my side accounts, hehe x)

Ok this isn't really a stupid neomail or anything like the other ones. I actually quite appriciate the thought that people have for me and my like for ruki pets.

But people tend to want me to adopt their painted rukis. I've been offered 3 of them at least.

1 shadow
and now an island one.

I adopted the shadow one and I may adopt the island one too, but the problem is I do not want to get rid of the pets I created to adopt them.

My sister is kind enough for me to displace pets on her accounts but eventually this gets kind of crazy.

After this island ruki (if I get it) I think I'm going to have to say, thanks for the thought guys But no more please.

If you still feel the need to give me something maybe a paint brush or morphing potion instead

Trick, I don't go on the chat boards, ever. Too many people with itchy trigger fingers there. And, except for my guild and PPT, don't chat with anyone. No AIM. No MSN. I honestly think that I get these freaks writing to me because of the neggs that I have in my shop. Because I must get 10 neofriend requests a day. And, I pretty much have nothing but neggs (and some occasional plushies) in my shop.

The weirdest neomail I've gotten was last week when I was entered into the BC, or rather, my side account's Chomby was. It was Friday, the last day of voting, the boards were hectic. I made my daily "vote for me!" thread, and a minute later I had a neomail begging me to vote for HER Chomby o.O I reply with "Uh, I entered my own Chomby in the contest, no offense, but why should I vote for yours!" And then I get a reply "becuz he iz cute!" A little annoyed, I politely reply with "He is cute, but I've already voted for my own, sorry. Good luck anyway!" I thought it would end there, but about five minutes later I get the same word for word neomail from her advertising her Chomby to me AGAIN! @_@ I had a good laugh with a few of my AIM friends about it, but jeeze it was just weird... Results came in, neither of us won but I was happy to see that the anoying little spammer didn't get more votes than me

I rarely get weird Neomails, thanks to my near-unknown identity. However, one time completely out of the blue someone Neomailed me about some offer we supposedly made about coding petpages or something. I kindly replied, saying that they didn't send it to the right person, but they had their Neomails blocked.

If they did intend to send that to me, I don't know why. My userlookup is a mere template I found on someone's petpage, and aside from that there's no evidence that I'm good at coding stuff (which I'm not).

Every time I have a comic in the NT I get a week's worth of weird neomails. I had someone make an account named after one of my pets.

I had a weird series of neomails from someone who wanted me to pay them to collect volcanic rocks for me. It's not as strange as it first sounds, because I do actually hoard volcanic rocks, but they wanted me to pay them, per rock, to buy volcanic rocks and send them to my account.... uh, thanks but no thanks.

I also got neomail from someone asking me to mail them my random contest entries....

That was the entire neomail. I reported the message, but the account hasn't been frozen, and it was about 3 weeks ago that I reported it, so I doubt they'll get frozen for it.

Some people just aren't that smart.
