I agree it is a hard game. I think a bit more explanation about how to play would have been helpfull. To start with I didn't realise I was timed and kept on wondering why it said "you have failed to surround your snowmen".
How do you surround lupes. I was hoping to find some instructions on this forum. But alas.
Please help

Hard. How can you surround 2 snowmen at the same time or lupes?
TNT better fix the pay out of this game.

Completely agree

This game is insanely hard. I've figured it out a little, though.
Basically, you have a limited amount of time before each round to surround your snowmen with snow barriers. If you don't have at least one snowman completely surrounded, it will say you failed to protect your snowman, and the game will end.
What you want to do is, surround one snowman with as much space inside the snow barriers as possible. Each level, you'll get two new catapults. If you don't have enough space inside the barrier, you won't get any catapults. Every catapult can fire one snowball. You can't re-fire that catapult until the first snowball has landed. Every click you make with your mouse will fire one snowball at the area you have targeted. So, you can either keep clicking your mouse in one area, or you can click once, aim somewhere else, and click again.
Finally, as the levels get harder, so does making a full barrier. It's like playing Tetris, only getting to choose where the pieces start. The higher the level, the bigger and more unwieldy the pieces become.
I hope that made sense, if anyone has any questions I'll try to answer them.

Just read the game instructions!
A tip: when you surround the snowmen, click as fast as possible,
don't even try to rotate the pieces in the first round.

actually the number of catapults you get each level is completely dependant on how much area you've "captured" I've gotten up to 4 to start with-
More tips:
Each catapult can fire 1 shot at a time, so once you have severel catapults start aiming two shots at each target- 1 at the target and 1 in front of it (or too the side, whichever you think is more likely) - that way if it moves while you're shooting you still get it.
Aim for the catapults first- as long as you have a wall in front of the Lupe you're safe, but the catapults are actually dangerous- EXCEPT...
If a Lupe is super close to a wall take it out before the catapults lupes move during the placement round, so you want to make sure they don't kill anything while you're fortifying.
Diversify- if you have all of your catapults in 1 enclosure and you can't patch it up in time none of those catapults will work the next time, so I try to build one small enclosure (big enough for maybe 2 catapults) as a back up- easier to patch so I always have something that can shoot.
On the first range build BIG I try to enclose at least 2 snowmen and a LOT of space- this is the only chance you'll get to capture a LOT of space so take advantage of it- this might take practice but I once I'd played 2 or 3 times I could enclose that much pretty reliably- then you can fortify that area the next turn.
Thats all for the moment- good luck!

Wow. I had no idea you could rotate pieces
I think the game is fine. I got over 700 on my third try.
Look at whackakass, it's payout is rather low too (though it takes less time)

Heh, I didn't know either.
Ugh, I still think this game is difficult. I suppose it appeals to some people, but it's really not my type of game. *sighs*

1300... Let me just say that rotating pieces is absolutely a waste of time, usually. I still don't know how anyways

(too lazy to read, hehe)

According to the news, points are now doubled.

Well, after a bit of disgruntledness with this game, I can now say that this is probably something I'm gonna be playing daily to earn NP, after having figured out something. :)
Here's a tip- within the first thirty seconds, surround three or four of your snowmen with a fortress (and make sure to rotate those corner pieces properly- spacebar!). A very large one, mind you. If you can't do it, start over and downsize a little. Takes a bit of practice, but you won't lose out on any points if you don't succeed, as this is just the first round.
After that, you should be able to place in five catapults per sitting. This equals to firing about one shot per half second, so feel free to randomly click a little bit.
Also, make sure to target the opposing catapults first. By the end of this round, you'll probably have 200-300 points.
When it comes to the between-rounds ritual, look at where you need to rebuild before you start. Do so quickly. If you have spare time left, first build a small fortress or two around your remaining snowmen (make sure to leave space for at least one catapult), then reinforce your fortress by adding more layers. This helps in later rounds- in case your main fortress is unreparable (the reinforcing will make it more unlikely), use the other ones.
Add five more catapults, then rapid-click away. You should be able to reaaaaally click randomly by now. Repeat steps above.
If your castle starts to get weak and you notice lupes start to close in, fire at them first before they enter your fortress. Again, aim for the catapults.
About five rounds in, and you'll have 25 catapults. Make sure to extend your spare fortresses with more catapults in the case that your main one fails, or separate your snowmen in your large fortress, as soon all those catapults in one fortress will be overkill.
This strategy's still in the works, and I got 1800+ on the first try I really decided to go for it. So umm...yeah. Anyone want to rework it a bit? The high score list entries are awfully high.

Oh, i've never surrounded two at once, maybe thats where i'm going wrong. My high score is 129

but i guess i only have played once. Did anyone else find it extremelly laggy yesterday? Midnight NST? The speed it was dl'ing at was like 0.1 kbps
