Restocking Changes?

Is it just me or did the restocking way change? Before it was just millions of good items stock into one shop and you could snag two or three before they were gone, but now only 12-16 items get added each time and you can only get, like, one or two from a shop if you're lucky... anyone got any idea on this? *hasn't restocked for a while*

And I heard they made it restock at specific times again (before there was a restock every specific second or something like that, every 7 minutes of the hour or something, but then they removed that). Anything on that either?

I've just started learning to rs myself, but so far I have to say I have not seen any real set times ... just the so many seconds past the minute such-and-such shop restocks. Like food on the :00, then books, etc.

I haven't really been on the site except to do a few dailies, so haven't restocked at all today. But I did try yesterday, most of the shops except for gifts seemed to all be around 12 to 16 items - I thought that was just the way it is.

The 5 second rule is the thing that gets to me. I can barely get anything to begin with, but when I do, I guess I get too excited, try to rush back to buy something else and end up with that chia page -- which means I've usually missed the rest of the restock.

I don't think so. There aren't specific times for restocks, though most shops stock between 1-10 seconds after the minute and it's still about 8 times per hour. Though there have been times where I've seen restock after restock in 15 minutes, and none for hours. I'm never bothered by the 5 second rule as I restock in chocolates then switch to the Igloo immediately afterward. So even if I mishaggle, or I'm too slow, I'll be able to get something from the Igloo.

My theory on restocks (its really a conspiracy) is that the more heavily loaded the server...the less restocks. Or it starts mini restocking. Just my experience
