Questions about collat

Hi guys, i want to know what does it mean by collat when someone wants to lend you their stuff(probably for avatar).

I keep hearing all those in the chat but dont understand what it means.

Well, it means that they want you to trade them something of equal value for their item, with the intentions of trading it back, when you finish using it to get an avatar, however.... if you offer something to someone on trades, and they accept it, you're not <i>required</i> to trade it back, but you will probably never be loaned anything again after that, and people may even report you for scamming.

Collat or collaterol, is something that is given, in good faith, to be of equal or greater value to insure that borrowed items (or money, in the real world) are returned or paid back.
