That seems to be the case with the other goodie bags. :P

From the editorial...

Why can't you buy a item that is labled 100,000 in a shop. I mean the prices at the trading post are cool (some of them). But i mean, if it's in the shop and we have galleries now why can't we buy it? - Hoopsgurl2010
I think we were going to change it so you could sell things for a higher price in your shop. Let me check on that one. Obviously we would give everyone lots of warning so their rare and valuable items didnt get sold for 100,000 NP :)

What about those who started galleries a long time ago, and haven't been on lately or stopped playing neopets... Say they would come back one day, and they would find all their UBs gone. I think that if tnt does decide to go through with it, they should somehow transfer those UB items into a gallery. Like the way it's done manually... Reduce shop size, upgrade gallery size.

I feel bad for it, and I noticed it a long time ago, and asked this same question, but never got an answer...so here it goes: I don't care if it is magical or not anymore, I want to give that plushie a loving home, so can I adopt it? - xdracoxfanx1
I am afraid not, but there are loads of other cool plushies on sale in the toy shop :) I know its not the same, but if it wasn't discarded all the time it wouldn't be half as interesting.

I don't get this question... Could someone explain?

Fri Aug 19, 2005 11:30 am

I have a feeling that has something to do with The Discarded Magical Blue Grundo Plushie of Prosperity. o_O

Fri Aug 19, 2005 11:39 am

I really didn't understand the question as well.... o_O

Is there a Petpet pound? And if not could you make one? - wakari167
We don't really need one as you can just trade Petpets the same way you can any item.

:P Yay for common sense!
Who would disown petpets?

Fri Aug 19, 2005 12:06 pm

I believe he was talking about the grundo plushie in Faerieland. He was rather vague about it though.

I believe they said if they ever decided to change the max buyable price in shops they would just reset everything to zero. That way if someone comes back from a long vacation, everything will be zero and not missing.

And actually, in my opinion, there shouldn't even be a max price. With galleries now you don't need to store stuff in your shop. It would make buying a lot easier and boost the economy.

Ah that would make sense... Yet still and odd question.

Didn't know they said that, I was reffering to what they said in the editorial...About a warning - pointess if the user wasn't around.

If what you say is true, then I wouldn't mind, but all those people with those big mall shops, would have alot of repricing to do.

I think she means that they said anything priced 100,000np or morewould be reset to 0

The bit about setting the prices to zero was in an old Editorial, issue 195 to be exact:

"Now that there are seperate galleries, can you buy items priced at 100,000 NP or more in shops?" - Hermione_rules415

"This is something we are currently discussing internally. At the moment, no you cannot. In the near future you may find that you cannot set a price higher than 99,999 NP for an item and any items set at this price will be buyable. If we do this, or something simliar, we will give you plenty of notice and we will set any items priced above 99,999 NP to a price of 0 so they are no longer listed for sale."

Although in this question Donna never says that they are thinking about raising the buyable price in shops. Just that they are thinking about making it impossible to have any item in your store at an unbuyable price. Which wouldn't be helpful to anyone except maybe newbies who are confused about the whole buyable/unbuyable thing in the first place.

Personally I hope that they do raise the buyable price in shops because dealing with the Trading Post is such a pain in the behind.

Well they're inexpensive the first couple days, but once they retire they're worth a lot ;)

Raising the price of buyables would however have a big effect on Illusen and Jhudora's Quests. And a price drop of the items you get from those quests...

Fri Aug 19, 2005 4:37 pm

Personally, if they do change the price limit in shops, (which I hope they do) they should either set all prices to 250,000, or 0. That way, someone who maybe went on vacation for a few weeks, lost internet access, lost interest in neo then came back, ect., wouldn't have all their uber-rare items bought without their consent.

I think raising the price is a great idea, especially for items that right now are 'just barely unbuyable' that you don't want to have to wait a long time to buy off the TP.

Fri Aug 19, 2005 4:42 pm

i think that if someone wants to sell something for 10,000,000,000 and someone is willing to buy it at that price, they should. with gallerys different from shops there shouldnt be price stoppers. it should just be whatever you want to sell it at. poeple will know if something is too expensive so just change it allready.

I just noticed they spelled correct wrong.
Not that it's that big of a deal, it's a typo and everything, but I'd just like to point out how observant I am. :P
