New World Challenge maps

According to the news:

There is a second set of World Challenge images for you to complete. This set is somewhat harder to complete, but the prizes are much greater also

So... anyone seeing these maps? I have completed a few worlds, and I don't have a second grid in my galleries, just the original completed ones. Please tell me we don't have to complete ALL the first world maps before we can move on to the second sets.

That's exactly it. I don't have any of the maps completed my self, but that is exactly it. You have to get rid of set 1 in order to get to set 2!

What I need clarification on is this: if I have Faerieland set one completed and converted, can I move on to Faerieland set two? Or do I have to complete and comvert all 11 other worlds before I can move on to set two of any of them?

Cranberry, I'm really confused too! If we have to somehow complete all the different WC maps in order to get to this new map, then I'm doomed!

The only one I've been able to complete is haunted woods. I'm 3 pieces away from central, but every time I enter the WC, either no one else does, only a few others do or enough people do, but they don't send 3 scores!

Have a look in your gallery: Scroll down. There is a another set of spaces for pieces. I'm not sure how you get them though.

It will be interesting to see what the rules actually are.

Luckily, I have managed to collect a full map from each of the 12 places ... I just didn't convert any of them.

I'll have to play around a little. Too busy right now, though.

aww no way. i placed 1st in usuki and i have all of the 1st set complet and it didnt give me the piece to the 2nd set. soo lame. maybe there's a trick to it. i even got the NM but no piece.

Sometimes happens to me, too. If you have that problem, you can neomail me. If I'm able, I'll join the challenge and get 3 scores sent.

There seem to be various other new features in place too. Is the listing of the number of players in each game that is displayed on the world pages of games new? (i.e. http://www.neopets.com/challenges/world ... world_id=2)

As far as I know, those have been there for quite awhile.

As for the many games with zero players, they should definately advertise challenges more. Add an actual link in the game room, feature it on the main page, or heck, even make a top banner ad for them o.o I think that they've simply, and sadly, become a forgotten feature.

Nods and agrees with winter. The WC should be at least mentioned more. I guess this new "level 2" map is their way of advertising it?

What I think happened? When they went and changed the rules around as to how many players/how many scores, the 0 not counting, etc. stuff, it turned alot of people off, they're just not bothering with it. I think the rule changes were to try to stop people cheating (like playing against themselves on multi accounts, etc.) - but it didn't work, it just made people mad and lose interest.

Some of the games, unless you just play fast, are not easy to send 3 scores. The only game I play in the WC that only needs 1 score sent is sutek's tomb. Petpetsitter, if you're having a good game, can go on for more than a half-hour.

Plus now, with the plot and how much time that's taking, well I'm playing games (need to pay for those codestones!), but I'm not even bothering with the WC, no time to sit and keep sending scores if I'm not getting np right now.

THIS SUX. apparently it's not that u have to earn 2 pieces to get ur 2nd set piece becuz i just did that. so stupid. maybe tnt didnt activate the stuff yet. but they also said that it would be harder to earn. i'm starting to hate WC.

The space for the second set wasn't showing up in my gallery earlier, but it is now. I don't know how to earn pieces yet, though -- I haven't tried (too busy with Lost/Veronica Mars and moving blocks in the scroll repository for the LD plot). For those of you who have won World Challenges and not gotten a piece of set 2: have you converted the first set? It may not be enough to have all the spaces full; you may have to have collected a prize.

there was a bug where you didn't get a picture piece even if you won and got the neomail saying you did.

it's fixed now

you get a picture piece from the second set if you've converted the image from the first set.

I wonder... does set one need to be converted, or would just having the grid full (but unconverted) work?
