Vending Machine help/advice?

Okay, so I'm playing dice a roo with the enter key thing, come back after a bit and not only had a won about 10 000 NP's, but I also find a Golden Nerkmid XX in my inventory. Now, I've only gotten a nerkmid once before, within two weeks of playing neopets and I spent it on the vending machine. Got some neopoints (what I though was a lot), but not much more. I don't know what to do with this one though. What kind of prizes can I get with this one (or odds of getting a good prize)? I'm not into avatar collecting, or into making or spending much neopoints (to sell or not to sell). I'm just doing my dailies and working on my gallery till something about neopets excites me again. Any advice?

It not worth to use the vending machine with any nerkmid despite their rarity. They all have the greater chance of getting gross food than any of the more positive outcomes.

Sell it. The odds of you getting something good is tiny. Look at jazz_invincible's log of his used nerkmids for a reference.

I think the odds are 1/5 of getting something good (but don't quote me on this) so you'd better sell it. Congrats btw

Aren't Golden Nerkmid XX's worth more than Basic Golden Nerkmids? Sell it, than if you still want to play buy one of those.

i used to use quite a lot of nerkmids trying to get a spoppy II but that was when nerkmids were quite cheap. nowadays, it's ok if you think you can push your luck abit by popping one into the vending machine but it's going to strain you financially if you are going to do it frequently.

Thanks everyone. I am going to sell the thing, not going to take the risk at the vending machine. Gee, its been a pretty good week so far, first I actually got the lenny conundrum (with my buzzer) and now this.

Umm... I have never had good luck (always got gross food) with the Vending Machine. I realized about 10 min ago that I did not have the avvie, so I got a Basic Golden Nerkmid out of my SDB ( I have quite a few, are they most common?) And I use it, and I got something better than Gross Food!
