I'm looking for a lab pet

I still have two more slots, and now that my lab map is done, I really
want to give it a good workout. The plan was to make a lab pet, and keep
my two other pets unzapped, but of course, I couldn't wait. The minute
the completion screen was up, I just HAD to run in and zap my main pet.


Stupid thing changed GENDER - the one thing that was a no go. Rats.
Anyway, several zaps (and one color change) later, Ploshkin is a boy
again. Time to find another zapee.

I want something that I LIKE (so no Chia, for instance - hate that little blob)
and that has quite a few different colors. It's down to Kacheek, Poogle and
Grundo. Can anyone think of a compelling case for or against any of these?

Of course, with my luck, it'll zap into a Gnorbu first off and stay that way for
months.

Don't sweat the gender changes too much. If you get the crazy lab scorchio mad scientist as a battledome challenger, he has a weapon that will change your pets gender when you fight him.

Seriously? How do you get him? That's handy to know.

You can get the lab scientist as a battledome challenger by refreshing at neopets.com/lab2.phtml. However, you can only obtain him if you posess the lab. He is very strong, so most pets will lose when fighting him. When he does use his strange potion on you, just withdraw from the battle by going to the status page.

if you zap a grundo and it turns orange, you get an av.

i'd look through the species-specific avs and choose that way (if you're into avatars). a quiggle for example. and if you don't like quiggles, keep a-zappin' and it's sure to change species eventually.
