General Trading Post Question

Ok, I feel like such a newbie asking this, but what the heck.

How do you offer just neopoints for something on the trading post? I see lots of items posted where the owner wants just np for them, but you have to offer an item to be able to also offer np. Am I missing something?

If people want just neopoints for a lot then usually you offer the pure amount in NP and just offer a junk item worth 1np (volcanic rock/ sandals etc) as the item in your bid.

Yeah, you just put up a junk item with the neopoints, like something (jelly, tombola, etc) from a daily (but not if you are transferring np between accounts. In that case, use a cheap plushie or such.).

Is there a limit to the NP you can transfer this way?

I believe the limit is 800k.
