For Neopets ONLY discussion.

Since my account has been frozen and I'm taking my pets outside the walls, I am going to keep playing them. I'm not sure about the role play inside Neopia. I have my ideas about that. I may try setting up a sbustitute for it playing all the parts. I've done that before and found it very satisfying.
Meanwhile, I have open source versions of my pets
here, and they have their own board at
PHATCH. It feels good to be free of Neopets and playing my own virtual pets. The role play is the only thing I have not replaced.
As for my plans to fight evil. It's called participant research. The target will be Neopets' immersive advertising. Meanwhile, I start each locked out session, with an It's Worth It letter sent to the staff at Neopets. That is fun and then I pretend through writing to take my pets through their site, but they don't give a lot of space for that on the form. I don't care if they throw the form away. They may get lots of forms like that.
I am thoroughly enjoying playing my pets outside the wall and would recommend it to any one else. Getting frozen is a badge of honor in my book and I wear it proudly. It was worth it! It was worth it! It was worth it !
---------------
It was worth it! It was worth it! It was worth it to be frozen! Woo hoo! I would love to start a support group for other frozen Neopians to teach them play pretend. Play pretend is inner rather than other direcrted. Face it, you don't need a database.
So far I've migrated Rosalita safely to PHATCH where she is a pink theropod. I made .71 playing Chemistry for Beginners and $5.00 for playing at my Hot Stove which supplies random events. This is working out quite well.
I hope to prove to the world you can play your pets even if your account gets frozen. You don't need the database. You don't need the approval of others. To live that way is to become a slave to rank behavioralism. It was worth it! It was worth it! It was worth it! Yay......

Hey. This actually sounds really interesting, but it's been posted in the wrong place. This is Miscellaneous Discussion, where we talk about stuff that doesn't concern Neopets. We talk about Neopets in the General Chat board. Try posting there, because I think this does sound interesting.

Moving shortly. Have a nice day.
EDIT: Oh, dear...I probably should've locked this instead. Will you guys be civilized so I don't regret my decision?

Oh geeze. I don't hang out at the Neoboards in order to avoid stuff like this: drama. As someone else said, get off your soap box. You weren't "fighting the power". Neopets is an online site and a game. If you want to make some sort of movement, go outside and make a difference that'll actually count for anything. Meanwhile...
Still, you're certainly not the only one who roleplays his/her Pets outside Neopets. I know quite a few people who do.
DiscordantNote: Don't worry, I have nothing else to say. c: And I certainly don't want to get in trouble here.

You keep using the word "evil" to describe Neopets. I mean, Neopets is a free site--in essence, they're offering you a place to spend time and enjoy yourself. If you don't like it, play something else. The only thing you've lost is an entertainment outlet. Also, sending the same form letter is kind of silly. Why bother?

This is the most bizarre reaction to being frozen I've ever seen....

Many of my pets are not solely neopets. I've used their designs in other activities. I agree it's a good idea to take your characters to another level, outside the site. What I don't agree with is your method and your attitude. It's ok to be upset about your account being frozen, but what you're doing will not help you get it back.

Sorry, I wasn't talking directly to you, I just saw what happened to the last topic.

I agree as well. Most of my pets are based on other-world characters I have, and I enjoy playing them outside the site as well. It is a fun thing to do, and helps you develop your characters more, as there are some things that can't be done on neopets. (And for good reason, really.. ^^")
You're right, we don't need a database, although it's a nice thing. The accomplishments on the game are the point of the game. To have fun, and be able to show what you are capable of. That's why neohomes, neodecks, galleries, highscores, pet colors, species... that's why everything exists. To make our experience better.
You're not the first person I've seen to take pets outside the site, and I think it's healthy. XD At least then you have something left.
I know that while I may not own zafaras or lupes, I do own the personalities of my pets. And even if they're frozen, I'll have felt like I lost something.. but I can still have the characters I developed for them.
I just don't see why you're being so.. extreemist about it. ^^":;; Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but sometimes it just seems like a slap in the face the way you word things. But so long as you're happy with your own choices, that is what is important.

I have a question and a comment. Question first:
Your "open-source" pets are clearly not Neopets, which you state quite firmly on your page. You don't use them to play any Neopets games. I presume you don't write about Neopets-related worlds or subjects (or at least won't be doing so from now on). How then is this "playing Neopets outside the walls"? As far as I can see, it's just writing stories about a few made-up animals.
Now the comment: it's really not "playing Neopets" unless you're, well, playing Neopets. If role-playing was all you used the official site itself for, then sure, you won't notice much of a change, but for most people, Neopets isn't just about the pets -- it's about the games, contests, buying and selling in shops, creating galleries, playing the stock market, all that stuff. It's about community. And doing those activities and taking part in the community isn't becoming "a slave to rank behavioralism." It's playing a game. And a game, on a privately-owned website, is not like a democratic country. Free speech doesn't apply there -- the owner makes the rules, and we agree to those rules when we sign up. If you don't like the rules, you are free to play elsewhere. But you can't sign up, completely ignore the rules and the (multiple) warnings you get when you break them, and then act like a martyr when you are rightly removed from the site.
You could certainly try creating a support group for frozen Neopians if you wish, but I doubt you'd be very successful. If people just wanted to "play pretend" with a few self-drawn pets, they wouldn't have bothered with Neopets in the first place. Most people play the site because of all the provided activities you seem to look down upon.
I agree that people here shouldn't be attacking you and calling you names. But I also agree that your behavior brings to mind that of a petulant child. Maybe that's unintentional on your part; I don't know. But completely exaggerated statements like "I'm an unrepentant thought criminal! Woo hoo!" and repeated mantras (in all-caps, no less) like "it was worth it! It was worth it! It was worth it!" (which brings to mind a small child screaming "mine, mine, mine!") take away from any validity your complaints may have. It just makes you sound like someone with a grudge who can't let it go. Please, if you are truly happy elsewhere and no longer feel you need Neopets to have fun, just let it go.

I also have to wonder why you continue to bring your incitive anti-Neopets rhetoric to a forum entirely peopled by fans of the site. Obviously, the comments you've made aren't very well received here. If you're trying to spark a movement or something, surely you realize that it would be better to look for people with similar feelings about Neopets and a similar agenda to your own?
