Beauty Contest/Art Gallery Concerns

I should probably start with this story:
Once upon a time, a newbie stumbled upon the Create-A-Pet center on her side account while Tonus were available. She adopted one and thought he looked so cute, she drew a picture of him. The picture didn't turn out half-bad, so she started coloring it to make it "pretty." The girl considered finishing the picture so she could enter it in the beauty contest. And then she found the art gallery....
Ok, so after thinking about what I actually want to do with the picture, I thought I'd try and submit it to the art gallery for next month's Tonu Day. However, my tonu's on my side account, and I'm under the impression that you can only enter major contests from your main account.
So, I have a few questions:
1) Can you enter something in the art gallery from your side account, or does it have to be from your main?
2) How far ahead should you submit a picture if your goal is for it's possible acceptance to coencide with a Neopean holiday?
3) Can a piece you submitted to the art gallery also be submitted to the BC (or vice-versa), so long as it follows all the criteria for both "contests?"
There's another problem: if I do end up submitting the piece to the art gallery from my main, I'd also like to eventually start submitting it to the BC, but I'd have to submit the same picture from my other account. I'm afraid someone's going to think I stole my own picture, report me, and get me frozen. Is there anyway I can avoid this, besides explaining in the entry's description that the person behind screenname1 is the same person under screenname2?

I know that, while voting from more than one account is wrong, you'd have to enter from whatever account your pet is on.
I can only suggest putting your username on the graphic. Then, if it accepted in the art contest, people would not think you stole your own work because it is on the same account.

So they should accept the picture for the art gallery, even if I submit it from my side? Because if I can do that, certainly I will. 
And I'm definately putting a watermark on the picture. I learned my lesson with my Ogrin....

Seen many people submit AG images from their spares..nothing wrong with it.
I've also seen BC images win in AG, so that's legal.
Well, when I enter AG for species days, I tend to enter 1-2 days before the pet's day. You never know if TNT will put images up early or not. Kacheek day proved they can. They put them up wednesday night, but Kacheek day was Friday. That's not common though.
