Sidebar annoyance!

Alright, now that that little bit of frustration is out...

I can't tell you how much I despise the Valentines sidebar. Its much to...BRIGHT for my taste. So I went to try and change it-but even when you choose a different sidebar on your userprefs, the "Special" one of the day simply cannot be overridden. Am I the only one who is annoyed by this? The Valentines sidebar, as far as I know, gives no benefits, unlike the birthday sidebar, so shouldn't we be able to change back to our usual sidebar if we dislike the Valentines sidebar? Its nice for people who really want the Valentines sidebar, and at least get to have it for a day...but my eyes just can't stand its pure brightness! There IS a reason why I use the Maraquan sidebar!

I guess I just won't play NQII much today. >_O

You're not alone. The sidebar is fine for collectors and those that like this day, but for normal, rational people (I'm not one of those in this category) it has to be too much. I don't need a reminder that I'm alone on the place that I go to escape those feelings Oh well. Looks like I'll be stinking up around here more today since NP is cursed

I personally like the valentines sidebar and use it every day. It's much less bright then that icky yellow one, it isn't as busy as the winter one or mara. one. it's simple and subtle, i like it. I can however see how it can seem bright to those people who are used to dark sidebars like the halloween one or the mara. one. heck if i'm logged out, the yellow one seems so bright, i swear my retinas are burning.

I like to collect them. The Maraqua is my favorite so far. I am currently using the lost desert one, though today I see the pink one.

Don't worry, it's only a day and if you do get to keep the sidebar, you don't have to use it.

You can put up with it for another 12 hours, right?

I too love/use the mara one. Agreed that the xmas one is to busy...

I might use this one once in a while. Who knows. Maybe if im in a loving mood. xD

I'm not so sure about this. I've found a codestone, 20 NP, and a piece of the secret lab map thus far, and I've only been online for an hour or so.

It could all be coincidential, but considering my lack of REs since the December, I'm not so sure....

Clearly I'm not alone. xD

I just don't like that we can't get rid of it, even if it is just for ONE day. And if they're going to force a sidebar on us, it could at least increase RE's or somthing(like the B-day sidebar).

I havn't heard about the Valantines sidebar giving anything, so I doubt it...besides, you can't keep any sidebars that do have bennies. (Of course, the only existing one is the B-day one...)
