So this morning my starry korbat turned into a mutant. I know that's the risk you take with the ray, but it was still a disappointing random color. Actually, mutant korbat is not so bad looking as some of the other mutants. Anyway, then I got the old -5k RE...darn kads. I guess it was mostly neutral rather than actual bad luck. But tonight I was walking with my kids and we passed a card shop so on a whim I went in and bought a pack of neopets TCG. I opened it up and was presented with this:
The pack did have a kind of cool card in it though so maybe that's supposed to replace the prize code. It was a white ixi card, but instead of the normal picture and 71/150 in the bottom right corner, it was a sketch ixi on a white background with a gold serial number in the middle.

You got a Sketch Card?! 
So lucky! I wanted one, but quit Neopets.. so no use in wanting one now! Haha. But super kudos! Those sell for some pretty spiffy bucks on eBay.

Well then...that's better than any old random item I guess. Will have to check that out.
I guess it's hand drawn by one of their artists. I just looked it up on the wizard's site. It's pretty cool, you can see eraser lines from the initial sketch and looking at it again, you can tell that it's drawn onto the card rather than printed.

It was mentioned a while ago in the news I tried to dig it up(my skills aren't the best) but I did find this:
So thats kinda neat finding it. Very cool, but at the same time I'm pretty sure you're suppose to get the serial number and the sketch card, not one or another. But I'm not 100% certain on this, if anyone could clearify that would be good, and if not you could always send a mail to TNT and see what happens.
Twelve of the pet cards are available in an ultra-rare sketch card! Neopets artists individually drew each card, so no two are the same! They are so rare, that there are about one in every 1,152 cards!
