Escape to Kreludor

Well the game is unannounced but active.

It's quite a fun "puzzle" game... simple and requires luck...

High score boards aren't up yet.

Green gem = cloak

Blue gem = weaker enemies

Purple gem = +50 points

White gem = Extra Life (?)

Red gem = EMP Shockwave that kills enemies in a 5x5 area centered on you. Does not leave any wreckages of enemy ships.

The comet is alive... and indestructable

The "smarter" enemies are worth 15 pts, the normal ones are worth 10 pts.

The range of your shots is 3 squares on either side of you, and do not penetrate; that is, you can only kill 1 guy with each shot (2 shots at a time)

Red Gem = kills all enemies in 3 square radius.

Killing an enemy leaves a rock-type tile.

I love this game :D

I like it, too - I just wish I were better at it.

Thu Aug 05, 2004 6:32 pm

What are your highest scores? Mines currently 580, needs improvement

Thu Aug 05, 2004 7:15 pm

My high is 765... You really have to have luck for it...

I could have sworn the red was only a two square radius... (i'm not including the square you are one *shrug*)

Thu Aug 05, 2004 7:31 pm

Uhm...370?

quite fun :)

The normal enemies are dumb: you can easily outwit them by making them run into rocks or the (space) shipwreck tiles. Smart enemies will never (AFAIK) run into rocks or shipwrecks.

Green gem = this will make you invisible on the enemies radar, so they dont know where you are (enemies will move randomly). If you are close to a green gem but have lots of enemies around you, there is still a chance the enemies will go against you as their randomly picked direction.

Blue gem = Downgrades your enemies level by one (red ship turns to blue). Kinda useful if you plan on outwitting your enemies. Since there are probably more kinds of enemies in the later game, this will probably be good if the enemies can actually fire.

Red gem = to use this properly, run around the gem until there are enemies in the shockwave radius. Then get it to blow the enemies.

Purple gem = gives +50 points

White gem = supposedly gives one life, havent seen this one

The worm holes are good at times, if you're in trouble you can always try to get into one and hope you land near some rocks or shipwrecks. You can always pop right behind the enemy though.

Enemies will chase you in anyway they can, so if you are far away from one, you can move right and left or up and down (depending on the position of the enemy) and wait until they are in a 3 square range to shoot. If there are enemies lined, you can destroy one and they move in the direction of the shipwreck to make the enemy run into the wreck. You can also try to make enemies colide, but thats kinda hard. I think you can make a blue enemy colide into a red one, but two reds will never colide AFAIK. The colliding tips above will probably not work for smarter enemies.

(note: as stated in the Blue Gem tip, I am referring to red and blue as I have never seen any other kind of enemy in the game. there are probably more in the later levels)

Also: If you are near a comet and finish your enemies but the comet moves towards you and collides, you will die instead of finishing the level.

Thats all for now ^^

I love this game :D
I submitted a game guide to Yukio, but I guess I'll post it here as well.

Escape to Kreludor

Why would one want to leave Virtupets, the purpouse eludes me. Still, I am biased due to payment of Sloth. Still, those of us who do want to Escape to Kreludor have 2 options, clicking the moon link on the map, or playing this cool game about evading Sloth's spacecrafts over an 11x11 grid.

Now, in this turn-based strategy game, the aim is to kill all the enemies on one level, to progress to the next. You can move around the level to evade the spaceships, by clicking on empty spaces next to you. There are numerous ways of blowing up Sloth's space fleet. The most simple is by getting itno such a position to shoot the opponent. When you press the space bar, or click on your spaceship you fire two missiles, out of your left and right side. This missiles travel for 3 squares, and will blow up the first space ship that it comes in impact with it, creating space debris. The space debris have the same effects as rocks, whose primary use, besides blocking your path, is blowing up a space craft on contact. The blue-grey space craft, the basic ones, will go in any direction to crash into you, even if a carelessly placed rock is in place. If it crashes into a rock, or space debris, then, the space ship will die, however, the improved red spaceship will avoid such impacts. The final method of killing such evil spacebeings is by getting two space crafts to collide. Doing so will kill both space crafts, however, this is rather uncommon, and red space crafts will avoid other spacecrafts in these circumstances. Remember, watch out for comets, white circles with tails, as they are they will chace you the same as the other space ships, but can't be destroyed.

Each level, you will see a 'power-up', a spiky ball that is a certain colour. These colours relate to the power-up these will give to you. A pink power up gives you 50 bonus points. A green power up will cloak you. This means that Sloth's ships can't pick you up, so will move randomly, very handy when your being chased by all the other ships. A blue power-up will downgrade the other ships types. This is only really useful in the later levels, turning the red upgraded ships into blue-grey basic ships. The red power will empulse. This creates will send a force wave, killing all space crafts in a range of 3 squares, however, this doesn't create space debris. Again, useful when you are in the middle of many ravaging space crafts. The rare white power-up will grant you one extra escape pod. The final board feature you see is the warpholes in the corners of the field. These will take you to a random free space on the board, however, this could be next to an enemy space craft, so, beware!

In my opinion, this is a greate game, and very simple. Congratulations to neopets to come up with a cool game!

Any additions/changes should be submitted in writing :P
Just kidding, just here to help

I think others will agree with me that it is definitely Purple, not pink that gives +50 pts...

The red one was does not exactly "empulse" whatever that is :p;
It emits an EM Pulse which is short for an ElectroMagnetic Pulse; a burst of energy that damages the ships. A real (though less destructive) example of this concept are devices that purposely block Cellphone calls... aka jammers

Finally, the 4 corners are Wormholes, not warpholes
