In absolute honesty we cannot read every single caption submitted, there just isnt enough time between contests. For a typical contest we read between 3-4,000 entries and post the best ones from those. That is why you should not be disheartened if your caption is not chosen the first time you submit it. Keep trying each contest and you will be chosen.

Do they mean perhaps, 3,000-4,000 entries? When I first skimmed over it, I thought they meant just 3... Imagine my surprise. XD They should try to be more accurate; otherwise people get false impressions.

Aren't there one or two TNT members on PPT?
I know NeoItems has them, NNN had them. So PPT probably does.

That's generally the correct way to present large numbers... however, it does make you wonder how many people read the captions, and their basis for judging...

But when spoken, "3-4,000" is linguistically correct "three to four thousand" meaning 3,000 to 4,000. O_o It's just a shorter way of saying it, though I can see how it would get confusing.

I personally think they should extend the time to vote, so

a) they can read more captions and make it more fair
b) gives us more time to vote!

They used to be up for a week or something, but now I see one almost every day in the new features One day it's up, the captions aren't chosen until the second day and the next day it's already over
