Another 'name clearing' :)

Remember how they cleared older names, made them available to create new pets and accounts by those names?

Well, it's happened again.

I'm excited. I created the account 'feathers' with the pet 'Crown.'

I feel the need to point out to you that the last time this happened, quite a few people got frozen for taking the old usernames.

It wasn't on purpose.

Well, it was just the older usernames that got frozen, right? Not their own usernames? I know of quite a few people who weren't frozen, for it as well. All the time I see accounts that are about 4 months old with really awesome usernames.

Actually, it was the people who took the usernames who got the accounts frozen.

Ah, that's not what I meant. Sorry, I put it wrong.

I mean, say...you have an account "angel1234" and you created the name "angel." Would it be "angel1234" that was frozen, or just "angel"?

Well, that's kind of weird. I'll take the risk of that, since it won't be my main account or anything like that.

I'll enjoy the awesome username and just hope that nothing happens (as I've seen a bunch of new 'old' usernames).

I personally wouldn't try this, as not only do I feel it isn't exactly right, but there is a slight chance that other accounts associated with the new/old account may get frozen as well.
Just wondering, but are these old accounts frozen (self-done or otherwise) accounts or no longer active ones?

What if you adopted a pet in the pound with one of the cleared names? Anyone get iced for that yet?

If I remember right (and that can be hard to do sometimes), the last time this happened alot of the "new" accounts using the old, allegedly cleared names were frozen ... many for something like accessing an account ...

Pet names? I think either frozen or the pet taken - I'm pretty sure people had pets removed if they had adopted them.

Apparently, some of the old cleared names aren't really "cleared"...I know there were people who made new accounts with a special (to them) name and found items, even pets already in that "new" account.

So, I wouldn't jump at this. It may be a database problem, something like that.

Yeah, I created a pet with a cleared name, and it already had a description. It was very odd

But I got my new main account in the last clearing and it hasn't been frozen, although someone who knew the old owner keeps mailing me :/

I remember this from last time...
I created the accounts shifty and plushie, and they both got frozen.

But I did 're'create the pet sneeze on my main account, and its fine...
