Odd little question...

So it's been about a few years or so since Neopets put up that new Task Bar, you know, that yellow thing to your left?

Well I was looking at the "World" icon, and noticed something. It's Earth. Earth. Seriously, come on! Given it's been a couple of years and all, but they can at least update the thing by now!

Anyone else notice this and think the same way?

Uhhh, I don't understand what's wrong with that... Are you saying they should change the icons on the menu bar or just the world icon?

Actually, I think the entire task bar needs a small makeover, similar to the flash bar that now appears when you're using the shops. To me, the task bar just feels a little chunky...

...Plus, I have a terrible habit of getting mixed up between 'World' and 'Explore' if I'm not paying attention!

What I am saying is that they should just replace it with Neopia World Icon, not Earth World Icon .

Here here on the mixing up the Explore and World bars. I do it often...but it'sok. I need to see what games they are planning to come out with, with ridculous names.

But yes, I do believe they need to update it. I believe they need to start basing the game again like they used too. More involved instead of constantly creating things, like letting us doing more with the Faeries, more Quest folks (Who was the last one?) etc.etc. Just my rant of the day

It'll be hard to make it look like neopia since neopia is just a plant with a chunk of land on one side. They shold replace the star on explore with something better

LOL fair point actually.. i'd never bothered looking at it properly but yeah that's definitely earth! Haha, how funny. If they re-do it, I hope it's not bright yellow anymore

I wish they would do it so you can change the color and the look of the whole site. So you can for example change the theme to darigan colors and the toolbar will be black and the background dark blue or something like that. Just like subblack or subred on here. Wouldn't that be awesome? Then not many people would complain about how they hate yellow.

I don't think its going to be a problem for TNT, If they can translalte the whole site to other languages, they can certanly make it so we can change the color theme of the site.

Agreed.... and it's centered on the America's too, as someone said. Seems a bit biased. The unbiased view of course being putting the Prime meridian at the center...

Yeah, I agree. I think it should be a different color altogether actually. Orange is the dominating color of Neopets and unfortunately it hasn't been my favorite. Highly doubtful they'll change it though.

Heh, someone commented on this topic a while back. Neopia would be more fitting than Earth. I'd be wary of a complete sidebar change though. Remember the temporary color changes to the neopian times? I wouldn't want it to end up lime green.
