Sloth Clones

I am having a little bit of trouble beating the sloth clones for the Defenders of Neopia game. Does anyone have any tips they could give me. My brilliant idea of radiactive muffins didn't work as well as they did on the other baddies. lol

Get a Scroll of Freezing (unless you already have another 100% freeze, breakable or not) and a yellow/green sticky hand (rainbow, if you're so rich) and steal his H4k Hlmeet.
Turn 1: Steal + defend + shield
Turn 2: Hypnotize (his H4k) + aweapon + defend
Turn 3: Freeze (yours) + weapon + beserk/fierce
Turn 4: Grenade + weapon/other grenade? + beserk/fierce
Pwn him.
Turn 1: Steal + defend + shield
Turn 2: Hypnotize (his H4k) + aweapon + defend
Turn 3: Freeze (yours) + weapon + beserk/fierce
Turn 4: Grenade + weapon/other grenade? + beserk/fierce
Pwn him.

Wow, I wasn't expecting that much detail lol. Thanks so much, he's making me crazy.
Ok I got the sticky hand (yellow) and the scroll of freezing, plus laugh grenades, fire snow (already had that) and an ancient scimitar. He kicked my butt without breaking a sweat. lol Any other suggestions on weapons? The freezing was helpful as was the sticky hand, but after that...nothing.
