We are proud to announce the fourth expansion of our Neopets Trading Card Game - yes on the 22nd of October you will be able to play with cards from the Hannah and the Ice Caves set! Featuring Hannah (she got bored of the pirate caves), thieves, icy skeletons, Lost Desert demigods and lots, lots more. We will be starting Card of the Day soon, and will be giving you lots more information of the following days.
Also, Hannah and the Ice Caves features a whole new species of Neopet! More information coming soon!




If you live in Australia, you will be pleased to hear Neopets will be in a McDonalds near you. For one month only (1st October to 4th November) you will be able to get your own Neopets plushie and limited edition TCG card whenever you buy a Happy Meal!

Some of you may have noticed that we have temporarily put a link to the Neopets/Yahoo Toolbar on the yellow side bar. Everyone who downloads the toolbar will be able to own an Ice Bori. This is a special paint brush of a New Neopet that will be released later on this month. You will not be able to paint your Neopet Ice, this is the only way you will be able to get hold of one!

OK, am I the only one truly confused ?o_O

It sounds like if you d/l the toolbar you will get this new pb ... but then they say you can't paint the pet ice ... so it comes that way? and only for people who have the toolbar?

Then in the "Important Bit" ... it says a chance to adopt before anybody else and get access to the Frozen PB.

I'll be interested to see who actually gets what ... so please post if/when something happens

It's the Temporarily that delights me ... I don't want to have to try to change 40+ custom sidebars! I did change one today, boy it was tougher than I thought it would be. At least I saved the other one! Will wait impatiently for that extra icon to go away.

Everyone who has downloaded the toolbar will get the chance to create their own Bori in a week's time. The frozen Bori will be one of the colour choices you can create. For example you can choose to have red, green, blue, yellow or ice. There will be no paint brush. Note - you wont have anything in your account as yet.

I was wondering, if we downloaded the toolbar, we get an ice Bori, but what if we already have 4 pets? Would we need to abandon one of the pets we already have for the ice Bori? Or... could we PLEASE be allowed to have 5 pets? Hopefully? Please? Pretty Please? 0=) - Swtaznhunnie
I am afraid you will need to have just three Neopets if you want to create an Ice Bori, or in fact create any other Neopet. We couldn't let you have five Neopets, that just wouldn't be fair to anyone else. On the bright side if you really cant bear to part with any of your existing Neopets there will be Bori Morphing Potions released later on. You just won't be able to get an Ice Bori.

Hmm, more stuff on the news, Lookup Spotlight. Anyone notice the overusage of ";)" and strange "outsider/non-Neopets" terms and humour in there? XP

1) All your stats MUST BE VISIBLE. You can move them around the page, put them in a scrolling div, or whatever you wish... but everyone must be able to see your joined date, shop, Neopets, etc. You know... the generic information the user lookup is made to display. ;)

2) Your current user lookup code is stored in our spotlight entry database when you enter. This means you can change your real lookup without fear of your spotlight entry changing! Hoorah!

3) You can only have one entry in the database at a time! If you want to update your entry, you can come back here to do so but your current lookup code will be inserted as your entry overwriting anything you had here before. Your entry will also move to the end of the line, as if you had just entered a new one. (Just remember that if you change your lookup after you enter.)

4) You will be notified if your submission is accepted, rejected, eaten, sat on, a sploded, thrown out the window, or selected as a winner. We get a lot of submissions to all our spotlights, so if you haven't heard back yet just be patient. ;)

5) We cannot spotlight lookups containing Non-Neopets or copyrighted material. So please do not enter your Harry Potter or Orlando Bloom lookups. ;)

6) We will not spotlight a "premade" that is not your original code. You may only enter lookups that you have made yourself.

7) If your blinky, flashy images make the judge's brain explode, you will definitely not win. We'll need to find a new judge at that point and it's all your fault.

Now I can understand they don't want 50 thousand POTC, HP or whatever lookups, but NO non-neopets? Geez ... don't get me wrong, I've made Neopets based lookups in the past - then I read the second page of their T&C that talks about not reproducing, changing, reverse engineering (what is that anyway?) ... so I figured we weren't supposed to do anything but maybe use a direct neo image link and stick that on the lookup. That's not very creative - at least not to me.

I'm gonna have to think on this one. And do we make a sidebar with the toolbar thingie on it or a "normal" one since that thing is temporary (thank goodness ... waits impatiently already for it to GO AWAY) ... hmmm

OH! I just thought of a question! Is this one of those you can only submit your lookup on your main account things? I'm guessing yes ... shame, cause my gallery account would be much more interesting (ad easier) to make a Neo-related lookup for.

The user lookup is right down my alley. Once I read they were doing that I made a banner and a small profile page for my favorite neo "villian" Galgarrath.
Prob, is...I ran out of ideas and need to get rid of the left side bar cause the yellow clashes with the black.
Plus, my HTML skills suck. >_>

I do find it odd that totally non- neopets related userlookups aren't allowed. Heh. I wanna see someone do an Orlando Blumaroo look up. =)

That's what I'm having a prob with as well...suppose I'll have to make two side bars or just hope most people dump the yahoo one once Bories are out.
