Begging for items?

I'm not sure if this goes here but...

I just accepted a neofriend who I'd known for a while. Suddenly, they asked for 1000np. I told them that neopets doesn't let you send np. Then they asked for a faeire. I'm not doing too well on earning neopoints currently. What should I do?

Refuse politely, explain your situation, and if they keep doing it, block them and report them for harassment.
