Retrieving Password from Neopets...

Hello!

I've been having some problem attempting to retrieve my password from Neopets. My lycos account won't even recieve them. I mean, they won't even show up in the Bulk or Trash folders. I've put them on the whitelist so this shouldn't happen anyway. I don't have this problem with my accounts that aren't associated with lycos and I know that there's noone lurking in my account. Is there a quicker way to get at my password besides filling out that form (which I probably botched by putting in the wrong email addy for them to email me at :x )?

PS: I've already filled out the form to the best of my abilities, which means I was pretty scatty about some details...

There's no quicker way to retrieve a password, but if it's just not working, you can try emailing TNT and explaining the situation to them. As long as you can verify it's your account, they're usually pretty helpful. However, sometimes they're kind of slow to respond... good luck!

Same here,

I have requested the passwords for my account, I tried sending it to my email, by requesting the password, but it dosen't seem to be working right now, its not just you, its some sort of bug or glitch in the password retrieve script or something. Hope its fixed soon.

If the e-mail does not arrive the first time you request it, request it again. You should get an almost instant response, but I have had to request more than once to get it.

Theres a problem with doing that.

When you try to request it more then three times, you get this message.

ERROR : You have already requested your password three times today, be patient, its on the way!

but the problem that I had with sending the password was that nothing came through. Not a single soliatry email. I had even asked a couple of people send me neogreetings to that account. Guess what happened there? Nothing! I don't think that it's a glitch. I hope that it's a glitch. I've tried with a couple of side accounts and they've both seemed to be fine. Well, I've emailed one of the staffers to see if they could do anything. It was 9k when I was finished. I think that with that I should get it back. I mean, nobody should have known any of the pets that I've disowned, nor the huge essay on the neomails that I've recieved. I'm not expecting to get my password back by Halloween (when Neopets will probably have a new day avatar), but it would be nice to get back to my account which I had spent a fortune on.

i lost the password, AND email to my gallery account, the email expired, so when i mailed them, they told me what email it was, so i recreated it, mailed them and got password back. all within a month.

if you mail them, i would think you would have a good chance. also its a chance that lycos is mail.com? because they may not recieve mail from neopets. if so, negotiate with tnt, tell them your lycos email, they should be able to verify it through their access to such details

is it also possible that you have been hacked? you say you don't think so, but due to the new login.last spotted things, it can sometimes be hard to tell. do you think you have a guessable password, because i suggest also trying to log into your account and try all the combos you would or could have used. :)

best of luck getting it baack, i ahev faith you will, and i would suggest that when mailing support, not to use your lycos email, only if you have to use it to verify, since it doesn't seem to be working :)

Once, that happened to me. I sent an e-mail to Neopets and yelled at them convincing details about my account, and I think Amanda or something gave me the password. :)

*sighs* Thanks for the help, guys! I've emailed a few of the staff
members with the information but I haven't heard sneaking around anything yet. Of course, I only emailed one of them 3-4 days ago so I'm getting a little worried. It's driving me crazy because I know that I can potentially get into my account (it's not frozen and and I'm pretty sure noone's sneaking around in it since the Last Spotted catagory says it was 4 days ago since I've logged in) Besides, as I've said, nothing seems to be touched. All of my pets are there, including the Faerie Draik and Maraquan Krawk and all of their petpets haven't been yoinked. They're pretty expensive in their own right as well. Are there any other staffers not on the list in the FAQ that I could email to get a response?
