Dubloon Disaster

I'm playing a game of Dubloon disaster right now, i've currently got 764 points, and i'm going for a high score. I'm aware of the scallywags code, and haven't used it yet this game.
Anyone have any tips/tricks for the game?

the whirlpool is only deadly when it 1st appears, subsequently, when it appears again, it only last for less than a fraction of a sec, and DOES NOT pose a threat to u, so I I usually key in the "scallywags" code at the beginning of the game to get rid of it. That way, u hav only the mines to worry about.

I've beentrying to get the avatar for this game (800 pts), but get bored easily. Would I be able to leave it for hours at a time while no mines re on the screen, and be safe? Nothing pops up randomly to kill you unaware?

Also, would something like be a freezable offense?

I started playing this game on friday night and when I reached a high score ( 5000 sth - was going for the tophy ) I just left it like that the whole night and on Saturday morning when the scored were cleared I sent the score. Worked with me. Nothing popped up
