Beware the glitch that accompanies random events!

I have had at least 20 random events today. I don't know if it is because of the birthday bash or what--none of them were worth anything--blumaroos passing by, earthquakes rumbling, scabu wanting to eat my food. However, I had lost items because of them.
Twice, I have had them hit while I was using quick stock. The first time, I was transferring two items to my shop and they did not show up after the random event--gone, for about a minute--then finally, they showed up in my shop.
However, this second time, I lost items for good. I was transferring three items to my SDB using quickstock when I got hit with the earthquake random event. Afterwards, no items in my inventory and they weren't put into my SDB, either.
I know I should not have been using quick stock--but it has been so long since we really had any major glitches, that I got lazy. Stupid me, eh?
Anyway, just a word of warning to my fellow PPTers.

Yes! I've had so many REs today!!!! They all seem to be finding small amounts of money on the floor though :/

Haven't had but the one (wild robot on fire) but I did have my current cheat and snow wars levels reset.

Hmmm, the only random event I've gotten was Nigel the Chia. Thanks for telling us, even though I only use quickstock to donate crap to the money tree, and it doesn't matter if those items are lost.

I never ever get random events, and I swear, I got 20 today. And almost all while doing the shop wiz or doing quick stock. Which has never happened before. Too weird!!!
Now, if it were a lost desert PB dropped at my feet in between these nasty glitches and useless RE's, I wouldn't be complaining one bit.
But, it could always be worse. I know someone who just lost 167K to the "Angry" Tax Beast.
