Glamour negg: I need a bit of enlightenment

About 5 hours ago, glamour neggs were selling for around 16400-16900. Within 30 minutes, they jumped to 20,000 and are now selling around 24000-25000. They had been at 16,000-17,000 for weeks now--no real jump or drop in price.

So I cannot figure out why the sudden jump in price. Are they being used in the war or in connection with some sort of av? Or is someone just hoarding them?

Any ideas anyone?

Your pets mood effects battles. I think that being depressed save you from poison or something. Sorry, I'm not battling with my new account as of yet ... but I guess somebody posted in the boards about neggs. That's the only thing I can think of.

I heard somewhere that a Pteri Morphing Potion could be obtained from one, and if you morph your pet into a Pteri, you just have to feed it Rotten Wormy Apples for it to heal from a disease. (The war challengers are giving out Hoochie Coochies.)

I'm not sure if that's right, though. That's all I can think of.

glamour neggs deplete intelligence, not happiness. also, some have ptrie morphing potions in them, and a ptrie can be healed when they eat an item with worms in them. cheaper war cure than the tablets!

It still seems very expensive for a one-time use item--but, hey, some people have nps to burn!

And, wouldn't it cost more in the long-run to have to re-morph your pet from a pteri into whatever it was in the first place?

Oh, well, I was just curious--because I just sold about 50 in five hours at quite a nice profit.

EDIT: The pteri morphing theory must be the reason for the jump in the glamour negg price--because rotten wormy apples are now selling for 2500!!!!!

Yea, you have some chance of recieving a blue pteri morphing potion. I SO spaced that whole thing. I knew the answer, really I did!

I did NOT know that Pteri were that easy to heal!

its one way to inflate gross food prices. sigh. does anyone know if other worm products (eg meatballs and worms or worm nugget) work?

have the prices of other ptri potions gone up?

As much as I know every food item with the word "worm" in it will heal your Pteri. Although I would never morph my dear mutant cybunny just to get a quick heal. Knowing neopets they'll change the whole system until tomorrow and it will get obsolete anyways

As I recall the worm only feeds the pet to completely full. I'm slowly testing this theory with my pteri.Yes it is that crazy Pteri nut again.

Edit: tested it- works:

DactulusReborn says 'YES!!!! WORMS! I FEEL GREAT'

DactulusReborn was fine, and now he is very bloated!

I hope this doen't hurt me collecting Pteri items!

If a Glamour Negg rose up...then Neggs are 2.7k...and Glamour Neggs are 7 tokens.....21k. Ok...so ANYWAYS....

Glamour Neggs aren't worth it to me, as I get it 1/3rd of the time.
Does it only give pteri ones?

so, if I was to, say, morph my pet into a pteri, all I'd have to do is feed it anything with the word 'worm' in it to heal it? Hey, works for me...cheaper than cures, and I need the kauvara avvie anyway

I went and spun the wheel of excitement and, eventhough my pet already had the hoochie coochies (I was hoping it would be healed) when I landed on the disease space it gave my pet the neopox. So instead of spending 30k I only had to spend 2k.

Well actually I found one priced for 10 np, but the normal asking price is almost 3k.
