My acct was frozen last night for using inappropreate language. I hardly ever chat on neopets, so I have no idea what they froze me for. I was wondering if anyone has been frozen for that reason & gotten their acct back.

Sorry to hear that. My account is still frozen, and for another reason. Good luck!

I'd explain your case in a nice, polite manner telling them (TNT) that you don't chat much and think that the reason for freezing your account was unjust. Then you have to wait, and wait, and wait, and wait even a little longer... and then
maybe you'll get your account back. Good luck

What do YOU think the worst word you said was, and be HONEST!

I know that sometimes if you send them a really nice letter explaing what happened they will unfreeze you but that's rare

the worst word i think i said was "trade". I was on the trading post that day.

Hrm...there's no chance you could have some random word neopets considers bad in your pets name, your username, lookup, or pet's lookup?
Also, I've heard you can get in trouble for using the 133t "word" for hot. (I think it's 407, but I'm not sure about that. I don't speak 133t.

)

Did you send anyone a neomail? You have to be careful with that as well. Speaking in 1337 is kinda dangerous, since some people may mistake your word for something else. I dunno. Try sending them a nice letter. They'll probably help.

A guild member of mine was recently frozen for saying the word "Hell"--even though the guild filters caught it beforehand. I have gotten the inappropriate language filter for using the word "passed"--in a sentence in which I said I hoped my daughter passed her class. So, it seems that the system is a bit screwy.

what is 1337? I sent someone a neomail about making a trade for hoochie coochie tablets. Could that be one of the words that would do it? I hope not, cause in that case that would be Neopets fault for having a disease & cure named that.

I'd be just about willing to bet it's the hoochie coochie - the first word. It's like you can't type a cup of hot borovan anywhere, but it's an item. Is cookie still blocked? For awhile you couldn't type cookie.
You didn't type anything like, I only have 40+ or anything like that did you? that's considered "1337" speak for "hot".
I know someone who was frozen for having an "inappropriate" user name - 2+ year old account. Funny thing, the "innapropriate" word in her user name is also part of the name of an item.
Morningstar, you know how much it burns me up that they use certain words on the site in different places, some people get away with typing them and others get warned and/or frozen. Consistency would be nice. Like those of us who got warned and frozen for typing just the word ebay.

I really hope thats not the case. That would mean a lot of people are going to get frozen because of hoochie coochie tablets are quite popular now. No i didnt put "i have 40+" anything. I was more like I have this item would you be willing to trade.

Probably because the language filters block any word or phrase with a variation of "pass" in it, to stop people talking about passwords. So that particular filter doesn't surprise me much.
