seriously, if i have another 20m lying around, i would buy another one...they are bound to go over 30m one day. it has a higher average and is more stable than faerie slingshot, higher maximum icons than SoS or that cutlass, does 3 different icon (similar to cutlass)..

when faerie acorns was still in the HT, there are many players who towered them to make slingshots..but as time passed, the number dwindled due to freezings, glitches, etc. the g-sword is also tactically a better weapon than an attack pea. over the same period of time, i see their price surpassing the fss..

if you have the np here to buy it at 20m-25m, go ahead...you won't regret it later

edit: as for the poor players frozen for "towering" that cutlass, i just realised that the situation was much worse than i thought..many experienced players were frozen; it was a shock. i have, so far not read about a single case where the player is not frozen for buying that cutlass off the HT for 1.6m. it's totally ridiculous! the cutlass wasn't even activated when it was for 1.6m. like the fyoras looking glass, it could be total crap and not even worth 1.6m..but it turned out to be good and players got frozen for speculating? i shuddered to think that if i was around at that time, i would have bought one for 1.6m too..

We've all noticed it. The neopets team likes to take the detour around solving problems, maybe its befcasue they are to concerned with enterprising (that ridiculous tcg game), and gaining money. Neopets has just become arrogant, and isn't supporting the memmbers who support them. You made a very good point, why were they freezing when it was perfectly legit to get the weapon when it first came out. Although the team has been dropping hints about the new items being cheaper then they should be, for example when the Slumberry potion came out it was only 2 mil then jumped to 10, Same with the Ghosteerchief (sp) weapons, it doesn't mean people were sitting there ready to tower the cutlass.

it was really double standards on TNT's part. i agree that players who tower more than 1 HT item per day with multiple accounts should be frozen. however, for some cases, it was like the person towered one and buy another from other traders. wasn't it the same when some players were overpaying for that fyoras looking glass which was temporarily removed from the HT? they towered one and bought more but when TNT put it back in the HT for 2m and made it crappy, then it is legitimate? that was an absolutely flexible interpretation of the rules, isn't it?

Sadly, I was iced too. I bought it when it was cheap. But, I got my account back this morning....I'm curious.

Did you get to keep your cutlass, or did they at least give back your million?

I'm glad to hear your account was restored. Hopefully TNT is aware that they made a mistake, and is now going around fixing it. I'd also like to know- did you get the cutlass back, or is it gone?

Omg. That's just plain stupid and unfair of TNT... TnT; I guess TNT learned a lesson that day... >_<

I don't see the reason why after fixing the price and spelling error, they could have simply let the bought items slide. They can find the people that bought them to freeze them, so I would imagine they could simply take back the item the same.

Wow, freezing people for that, it's like blaming someone else for their own misstake.. And the stupid thing is that the people that bought it didn't know that it was a misstake...
I hope these people get their acount back!

It's an old mobster trick.
You kill everyone in the building to get the few you were after.
Then nobody suspects that it was just to ice a few, thus eluding the incriminating motive.
(only on a much larger neo-scale)

Neopets has gone way downhill lately. I wouldn't come back if I was frozen, I might quit if I was affected in a major glitch too.
