i thought i remember i while ago that some one in the editorial complained about the cutesiness (sp?) of neopets now and i might be making this up in my head, im not sure but didnt donna say they were going change some of the to cute things? this new tenna got cuter and no w it looks bad in my oppinion

Not quite. This is the editorial question that caused the revamp:

I've NEVER understood why TNT consistently adds impossible to own petpets to the growning list of newly painted pets and yet there are many, lower priced petpets that are ignored. How many people actually own a Dua(6 painted variations) a Hasee( 8 ) a Mortog( 8 ) a Snowickle(7) a Vullard(6) or a Weewoo(10)? What of the less expensive Tenna, Scado, Felly, Carma, Zebba, Bowla, Frillabon or the beautiful Tanizard? I understand there are tons to consider - but next time you're looking for ideas regarding which petpet to paint next, perhaps TNT might consider those petpets more accessible to the masses. I didnt realise at all. We will add more colours for the common Petpets and update the ones that look in need of updating (for example the Tenna).

IT'S HIDEOUS! I loved the old Tenna. And now the Tennas are more expensive, which makes my cause even harder!

I want it to look more buglike. Like it used to be.
The old one had... signifigance to me. It was majestic, proud and fierce... but still beautiful and poised.

Many ask why I chose Tennas as the petpet to give. Well, it all started when I was a wee Newbie. I was walking about Neopia, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, when I suddenly found myself looking at an empty inventory. My purse had been shaken of every last Neopoint... the only thing that hadn't been lost were my pets. 10,000 Neopoints won from Scratchcards and a Blue Paintbrush... down the drain.

Scared, I ran to the bank only to find that it had been scraped clean. I couldn't believe that anyone would do such a thing.

In despiration, I went to the Neoboards and told my story. Nobody seemed to care... nobody but one. His name was Saint. He had a 19-month account, so I was surprised that he would bother to talk to someone like me. He got the story out of me... then I found a Tenna had materialized in my account.

He said it was to help me get back on my feet, then vanished. I attached this petpet to my Lupe, and named it Lala. It symbolized hope, and all that was well in Neopia.

The months that followed were hard, but eventually I became rich. I could have replaced Lala... but I didn't. He was like a guardian, watching over me and reminding me that there was hope in the world.

One day, I was drifting through the Neoboards when I spotted it. A cry for help. I went to their board... and they had been scammed of every last Neopoint. I Neomailed them and let them tell their story, then sent them a Tenna.

To help them get back on their feet.

Tennas are currently 2,000 Neopoints.
Just as a bit of information, I dispise the new Tenna makeover. It's so... so... ugly!

Don't you dare touch my whoot, he's adorable and intelligent just the way he is. I've liked the robot petpet updates, but most of the rest of the petpets they touch come out badly. I was horrified when they updated my faellie, I'm waiting for them to come out with the tenna rollback just as they did the faellie one.
