Wow, what news..

This is great. Now.. should I morph my Lupe..?

EDIT: I wonder, will this chance stay forever? And can you change it? Because it says you can't abandon it..

Bori: 15,594 (out of 80,000)

You have at least a week before all of them get created, sorry if I'm wrong, I'm not that good at estimating.

It apparently is, indeed, possible to abandon a Bori -- I took my account with mine to the pound, and all the pets, including the Bori, had an abandon button. (No, I didn't press the button.)

According to a post in another thread, one help site says that abandoned Ice Boris will default to Blue, so that no one but an original toolbar-downloader can have an Ice.

Combine that (if accurate) with the fact that not all of the downloads will result in a Bori at all (my wife, for example, downloaded it only on her main account, which is full of pets she wants to keep), and that many who have already created Boris chose other colors (in part because some expected Ice to be too common), and -- even before getting into random events like Boochi and invisibility (if those colors get released), not to mention deliberate use of potions, magical plushies, and the lab ray -- there will be very few Ice Boris, relative to the number of players and pets overall. And if Boris are made generally available, which is my understanding, rather than limited edition, then given the appeal the species seems to have for lots of folks, Ice will end up pretty rare even among Boris.

I've heard some saying on the neoboards that they got some kind of error message when they tried to abandon their bories (heaven knows why since they just created them). Anybody not liking their bori want to confirm this? I don't know if I heard wrong or if these are just the odd neoboard rumors and speculations and ravings.

You cannot disown a Bori until they are released to the public. Snarkie said that last night in the chat.

Some people have made Bori just to give them a bad names, so they want it gone, but can't disown it right now. I saw a couple of BDers trying to get rid of theirs last night.

Did Snarkie say anything about Ice Boris changing colors if they are disowned?

Yes, she did. Ice Bori that are disowned will turn to the color blue.

Too bad she left the after only answering a few questions, but least she answered some good ones. I really hope she took the idea my friend give on Ice Bori having a 50% chance of not getting frozen inthe BD. She said she would forward the idea over. :D

EDIT: Oppies said just a bori.
