I found a thread in here the other day about what you can & can't do with gallery accounts. I can't locate it again..:(

I I want to start selling off my gallery, can I just throw it in trades from there? Or do I have to send everything to my main account to place on the trade board? I surely don't want to get frozen for nothing illegal.

The multiple accounts rules are very muddy, IMHO. What you can and can't do, aside from the known no games, rs, scratchcards, stocks, freebies (except healing springs and pet day training - those are ok).

I think? and I hope if I'm wrong someone who knows 100% sure will correct me ... If you decide to sell off your gallery I think you'll have to sell from that account, not send (especially expensive) items to your main account, as I believe that is seen as using a secondary account to gain on your main. Even though most of us originally bought the items on our main and sent them to our galleries (secondary accounts) ... a bit ironic.

But my understanding in general is that you shouldn't send items to your main account from other accounts, even things like RE's.

I do use the TP to send items/np needed to support my gallery from my main account maybe once a month, I set the trad up on my gallery but just put a cheap toy as the trade item and in the wishlist put something like it's for gallery use/upgrade. I only hope that's good enough!

Ok, thanks so much. That's what I've done, I set up trades from my gallery account to sell off all my neggs. I've decided I want new weapons for the BD. Kinda tired of that collection anyway...:D

I just never know anymore what's gonna get you frozen and what's ok to do... :o

You are right to worry about freezing, one can never be too safe. :)
Transferring items through the TP is the best way to do it; it's what I've always done. Transferring NP is harder - but what I do is again set up a TP and bid high on something like Jelly.

Heya. :) I wrote a little FAQ, titled "Do's and Don'ts of Spare and Gallery Accounts" which can be accessed off PPT's main page or here:

http://www.pinkpt.com/index.php?page=su ... ntsofspare

Granted, it probably needs a lot more work but getting answers from staff via email is pretty time-consuming.

In answer to your question, the best idea in my opinion would (even though it's probably the most inconvienient) is to transfer the items (not pure np) to your main and sell on your main if your intent is to keep the funds on your main account, or use them for a purchase you intend for on your main. I'd reccommend this especially if it's a larger sum of NP we are talking about here. :)

It's all a big grey area though. A potential someone could see you selling items on your spare and think "A-ha...they are restocking on a spare and selling items to fund a main account!" when you transfer the NP. However, one could say the same about sending items to a main account.....

Bah. Tough call.
