Unless you get the extentions, the only way you can see the hover text is if the webmaster uses title tags instead of alt tags. ^^; -pokes neo- fix this, please. xP

The only thing that bugs me about Firefox is that it doesn't display alt text on pictures (like if you hover over items in a shop, the alt text describing them won't come up). I found an extension that makes them work, though; it's here.

Cool! When I first started using FF, I missed the little text, but I'm used to it now. But it is nice to see the description of the item.
Thanks! :)

No problem! I like having the text come up so I can see what the item does.

Like Kitten said, though, Neopets should really be using title tags instead of alt ones -- title tags do show up in Firefox. Until (or unless) they fix that, the extension works great (and it only takes a second to install). Oh, and if the alt text is showing up in one long line, just go into tools-extensions-Popup ALT Attribute-options and select the little box that says "show long tooltips in multiline."

Thanks, Cranberry, I'd been looking for an extension to do exactly that but hadn't found it yet.

The one thing on Neo I'm not getting properly is the "comic book" plot pages. Is there an extension (or setting) that'll keep me from having to rely on IE for that?

Opera works really well too :)

I use Opera with plugins turned off, so no flash at all on my pages, and use firefox for playing flash games :)

Other advantage with Opera, especially if you're on a really slow connection like me, you can browse with *only* cached images on, so what I do is manually load each image I want to see - then it's in my cache for a month or so til I need to load it again :)

Makes page loads MUCH faster :)

Can't do the restock image that way though - doesnt affect me, my connection's too slow for restocking :)

I'm not having any problems at all with the plot pages. What version are you using?

Actually I have trouble with t he plot too, but it doesn't matter what browser I use (I have 3 :P) seems to crash out (either to the desktop, or totally reboots my pc) when I move from panel to panel :( That's why I was hoping someone had a transcript :P I'm fighting in the war and have no idea of the plot! :o

Well, I don't really understand it, but I've got my problem solved, by downloading Macromedia Flash.

Yeah, it seems obvious, but I'm still puzzled because:
1) I've been playing Flash games with no problem via Firefox.
2) On IE I was able to see the plot comic book fine -- which is more odd yet, because:
3) When I checked my settings to see whether I needed to uninstall & reinstall Flash, it showed I didn't have it at all.

Maybe IE has a built-in Flash?
