what????? ill admit, that is a funny comic, but that makes me feel wierd... because i made a comic with that idea about 5 months ago, and they didnt accept it, so i tried again a few months later, and they still said they didnt get the joke, when i was able to figure out that they just didnt want me "dissing" their purple pets. here is the one i made:

Yeah, so they didnt accept mine and i dont know why....but... that will remain a mystery.. i dont submit comics anymore... but im glad at least one person was able to get that message out there! kudos to them!

It almost sounds like you're not only dissing TNT, but you're dissing the article writers of the NT. Which isn't cool.

what? im not dissing articel writers at all!! its saying "all the purple pets are being covered with orange spots, and nobody knows why.... but whoever did this (obviously TNT) smells of dung...." i would never say they stink, or that they are bad people, because they arent, i love TNT.... saying "they smell of dung" is just a joke... if i wanted to insult them, i would, but i dont want to, so i just said that they smel like dung for making the orange spots. like if somebody steals a frenchfry from you, you say "ah, butthead" or something... you arent really angry at them, so you call them a joking name. if you were actually angry, youd say something mean, but i did the same here. "nobody knows why spots are showing up on purple pets, but whoever did this is a stinkyhead." thats all the middle segment say.

I think it's more of the title of it. Just looking at it through what TNT would possibly think that's all.

I can't believe they let that comic get in, but not wonderweezles. I hate the orange spots. When my little Zafara got those spots... *shudder* Let's just say it was not a happy little day.

Luckily, acaras are one of the pets that don't look too awful with the purple paint brush.

I loved the artist's redition of the face freckles, those are actually pretty darn close to what the purple PB does to an Acara.



But indeed, there are a LOT of problems with the Purple PB. Not only are the orange spots horrid and waaay overdone on some pets (like the poor kougra or grundo) the big thing that irks me about it is the difference in colors and shades of purple from pet to pet....

I can understand minor differences....but this?:


Pearly the Koi says: "I'd say I'm more "Amethyst" than true purple".


Mr.Masculine the Tonu says: "Bah, I turned out darn near Magenta!"


Sonic the Korbat says: "ACK! I'm colored Lavender!"


Splooshy the Peophin says: "I never knew I'd be painted Plum!"


Whiskarz the Kougra says: "They should have named it the "Dusty Eggplant with way too many Orange Stripes" Paint Brush for me!"


Milky the Kau says: "I'm glad they didn't overdo the orange with me, but why are my stripes and markings all different colors?"


Poor, poor pets....

At least staff is laughing about it with that cartoon in the NT, perhaps that is a sign that they might listen to the players and work on fixing it in the future?

Wow, that is surprising. Just TNT poking fun at themselves, and taunting us.

The title of it? I just called it "spots"..... knowing TNT, i really dont think they would take offence to it.... they know VERY well that a percentage of the neopians dont like the spots.... but for some reason, they do have to have them on there, for their own reasons... which is why they edited all the purple pets. however, we still dont like them, so we can poke fun at them... and they know we are going to poke fun at them for it.... just like neoschools, neopets and cars/evolving/human charactoristics, and other things..... a good percentage of the comics in the NT were made to razz TNT... its all in good fun.

I love it! I really don't like those purple spots (because they do remind me of freckles, which I have waaaay too many of) and I would never have a purple pet because of them. That comic is classic, though, and I wish that TNT would change the purple pets.

I think what Meowth was saying was offensive TWW, is that title of the Neopian Times in the center frame...where it says "Page with a non-creative title" or whatnot on the headline...

I think your meaning was just for fun, as in YOU couldn't come up with a creative title while drawing it. And I thought it was funny. But depending on the reader they might think "Oh, so you don't think the people who submit articles are creative enough, do you...no, not like you COMIC writers..." or "So staff smells like dung, do we?"

I think by the look of that headline, someone might misread what you were actually going for, and take it as an attack against the NT and those who submit to it...? I think that's what the person who mentioned it above was saying..*shrug*

Hey guess what? Jelly world really is real, as everyone knows, and we were just silly to deny it.
And Purple paint brushes are horrible! What were we thinking?
All wrongfully frozen accounts can come back now and they can each have a million NP from Adam!

I don't think Neopets is ever going to remove the Orange Spots. I remember that in a recent news (within the past month) when they release the purple ruki they said this:



So they do know of the complaint about the spots.

ohh... i can see how people could misread that.... well, the comic was ONLY made to poke fun at TNT... and yeah, i was just trying to add another little giggle in there by being lazy and just putting "the articel with a non creative title.".... not a shot at NT writers at all! it was a shot at myself, actually, because i was too lazy to think of a good title myself. But i do see how somebody could read that incorrectly... so i see your point of view now.
