Well, you're still lucky. I missed the whole war. :(

Althought the beasts you guys had to fight seemed much stronger than my pet. :oops: I wouldn't have got much points anyway.

I missed most of it too, just started when we had to move. :( Oh wellz, I'm sure there will be more when the next TCG set comes out ;-)

Ehh, I stink at wars. When I joined the Meridell one I never figured out how to fight in it. >_____<;;

The war prizes will take at least 1-2 months to recieve. They have never taken less then a month before, so why would they only take that long now.

I also wish they would hurry with the war prizes.

Mmhmm, I'm really starting to get impatient. XD

Same thing happened with Neoquest II--prizes weren't given out for months, if I recall correctly. Iconoplast would remember. She was one of the first people to beat it.

You're right, I would remember, sort of -- I'm awfully bad with dates though. I'm also too lazy to check last year's news for exact dates, but it did take at least 6 weeks of following borovan around the forums, generally raising a stink, and asking about them daily to even get an answer as to where they were. I also wrote to the editorial daily about them and asked everyone I knew to do the same. Somewhere around 4 weeks into that process, the line that originally promised prizes for NQII disappeared from the old news. But persistence eventually paid off, and while there were no special prizes for the first finishers (NQI gave items you could only get as a first finisher and millions of np), I'm still happy that something happened. (= And hey, maybe they'll remember to do it for NQIII, should there be one.

In any event, it was, as many said, a pretty small war, and I wouldn't expect huge prizes anyway (it also seems like quite a lot of people were too busy to do as well as they would have liked or could have done, myself included). And as many have said, it does take them forever to get prizes out for any large scale event. I would imagine it's very difficult to make sure that everyone that should get a prize gets one, and that everyone gets the prize that they're entitled to (and only the one they're entitled to). It's just such a large scale of people, and I think I'd rather wait and see them do it right (I hope) than have them do it quickly and have it turn out poorly, you know?

its not like they have to code a whole new operating system every time they update...it really shouldnt take 2 weeks to do war prizes

lol its been 3 weeks since they promised the logic puzzle game would be updated, and now guess they forgot about it

you really give them too much credit, i mean...imagine what they have to do in an 8 hour workday,....the entire site is already there...just have to make news updates and some little crap...

It's not that simple. I've worked (and still somewhat do) as a professional games tester. You have no idea as to the number of things that can go horribly and painfully wrong based on one tiny code change. I would hope, at least, that they're testing to make sure prize distribution works correctly and that the prizes aren't unbalancing to the rest of the game. Plus, that can't possibly be the only thing they're working on. It's far, far more than just some news updates, I'm sure. Yes, it often takes them longer than seems fair to release things. But it's not like anyone is sitting around thinking, "Hey, let's make people suffer by waiting to release these things."

I can very easily imagine what they do in a workday, because I work in the same industry. I imagine that they work very hard on art creation, new item creation, making things as balanced as they can, new game design and creation (which includes all of the art and programming for that game), other new content creation, and that's not even counting any customer service or testing. And I'm quite sure there's far more for them to do every day than even what I just listed. And I'm sure if they hired more employees, they could do more or do things faster, but they haven't, and I don't think any amount of complaining will change that (although it's worth noting that the jobs page does say that they're hiring more programmers).

*shrug* You're quite welcome to continue to think that all they have to do every day is update the news and they spend the rest of their time doing whatever and still somehow getting paid for this, but I can't imagine that's the case. I know if I did that little work every day, I'd be fired. I do expect that they forgot about the logic puzzle. I'm sure they need better organizational skills. I'm also sure that they'd forgotten the NQII prizes I mentioned in my last post until I reminded them for a month or so. And yeah, while it probably shouldn't take even weeks to get prizes out, like I've said before, I'd rather wait and have everything be glitch-free or close to it than have it right now and have my prize glitched away, or not be able to equip it, or any number of other things that could go wrong with it.

And also, don't forget, TNT is good at inflating items. :P

Yeah... I don't think that they're doing this because they're out to get you.

It makes the game interesting and I actually feel that its one of the better ideas that they've had in a while. They don't get extra money simply because green apples cost 500np more today than yesterday.

You're confusing the in-game economics with real-life economics. One they do very well with; the other they've still got some work to do.
