yeah she says that her son spent most of his time online, but if you look at the account, its a year old with practicly nothing on it. no trophies, average pet, nothing in the shop, no battledome stats, stamps or anything of the sort. if this kid was really playing a lot like this lady says he did, there would be a lot more then is there.
Because Neopets is the only site on the internet...
Okay then, if he was spending a lot of time online, but it obviously wasn't on neopets because his account is pretty bare, then why would his grieving mother go to neopets to tell everyone about it?
I don't believe it for a second. I know people deal with grief in different ways, and I could see a mother telling people on a messageboard that her kid had died if he spent a lot of time there... but this just doesn't add up. Plus I've worked at various forums since 1999, and almost every "this poster died!" topic has been a scam.
That said, I'd just ignore it, on the (very slim) chance it's true. If it's true, you don't hurt her feelings, and if it's false, the kid doesn't get the attention he's craving.
Interesting read, anyway.

the only reason I know about it is when he told me about it sometimes in the past. I'm sorry if I did something wrong, which I don't see anything but I was just trying to figure out how to find someone who knew him?"

he liked neopets and talked frequently of it. It would most likely upset him if it got frozen."
