I know they've disabled music again - but that was not allowed for a long time in the first place. People just found an alternate css to let them have music. Kind of a get around the system type of thing. The css to fade out the sidebar has not been disabled, there's nothing on the user pref page or the rules or in the news saying that we can't fade our sidebar. We can't cover any of our user stats - but that should be common sense anyway.
I dunno - don't ask me! I just posted what he said! Actually I don't know what they (tnt) said about fading out the sidebar. I heard fading out the shield isn't ok either. Well, I do that on my gallery accounts (not on my main account though) and never had problems. ^^
Our German support maybe isn't familiar with this whole look up subject. He came to Neopets when the site was translated into German about 10 months ago. The Germans aren't that active like English users (and he only deals with Germans) and they aren't that many - so that he didn't have to deal with this problem in detail I guess.
I'm not sure what the "right thing to do" would be now!!! That's really annoying... Obviously they have rules... I mean they warn people and freeze them. Too bad those rules aren't really clear to the users. And moreover it seems like that every monitor/supporter has their own view upon things...
I could try contacting English staff, but honestly I don't think they are any good. I still remember what it was like when I had major trouble (when I lost access to lab ray due to a bug) or when I was frozen by a scammer who reported me for what HE was doing... I only got my account back because German support listened to my mail (he saw that this freezing was a mistake). The English staff didn't even bother to reply...
