What do you think about shops with backgrounds, banners, blogs, images, animation, music etc? Hate them? Like them? Or even have them in your own shop? What do you think?

I leave immediately. I love a shop with no backgrounds and no music :) Easy and simple

I don't mind them that much. If the music is much too loud, and the background much too bright or dark, and there are way too many animations, I will get fed up and go to the next cheapest shop.

If the background makes everything hard to read or load slowly I usually leave. If the shop has music I leave immediately and buy from somewhere else, I hate music in shops.

As long as it loads quickly and doesn't have some annoying MIDI music, I'll still like the shop. Heck, some backgrounds and blogs would make me like the shop (loads quick, and looks neato).

I usually will buy from the shop, but I particularlly find excessive pictures to be very annoying. It is really a pain in the behind to scroll through 30 dolls trying to get the codestone that someone prices at 200np. :x

I'm finally back for the summer, although hopefully I'll spend a little more time away from this screen.

I am an impatient person, I don't have time for things to load. Unless there would be something in that shop that is soooo cheap that I must buy it, I'll usually leave right away and find another shop. I don't mind nice images here and there as long as it's not exessive and doesn't take forever to load the page. Music does annoy me for the most part though.

I don't mind them TOO much as long as they are with in reason. ie. if the music is very loud and there is no way to turn it off without turning off my sound, or if I have to strain to see the font, then it's too much. I'll still buy the item I need because for the most part it should be the cheapest price, but I definitely wouldn't browse or linger there too long. :P A little music is ok and baskgrounds are ok.

If the shop doesn't load quickly for me then I refuse to buy anything and just go to the next cheapest shop. I can't stand waiting 5 minutes for backgrounds, songs, blogs, every pet that person has or wants and every quiz on the internet to load. It bugs me so much... :x

Having said that though, I usually read peoples shop descriptions and I do like nicely decorated shops. As long as it doesn't slow the page down and I can see what I want to buy then I'm happy!:P

I don't care if a shop is heavily decoratated as long as I can buy what I'm looking for. I generally don't like to go all out myself (in fact I haven't even done anything to my shop) and I wouldn't spend a lot of time browsing throught a shop filled with tinker-toys, but I'll do what I can to find the cheapest price.

Bahhh, my friend used to have a shop like that. Dark background, MIDI music, a million and one dolls that all looked a like. Everytime I would pop into her shop to see what she had, I just couldn't take it. My shop is nice and simple, it has a blog in it, that's all.

don't mind very much, people are allowed to decorate their shops as they want, as long as i can still read and see everything.

I totally and utterly despise music and slow loading images in shops (or lookups and guilds for that matter). In the past I have had to play Neo with a 56k modem and I can tell you music and tonnes of pictures make surfing around very frustrating. Now, the graphic intensive and music pages loading slowly isn't so much a problem but the fact that I have to pay for downloads sure is! I also hate when you're trying to click on an item in a shop and images added to the shop are loading making the page "jump". Annoying annoying annoying! I leave any music and graphic intensive shops I find, the saving of 10-100nps isn't worth the frustration and annoyance.

I'll still buy from the shop, that is, if the page didn't take so long to load that I miss the item. I don't understand why people do it, though, because so many people WON'T buy from them. If the shop is clean and simple, I might actually take the time to browse and maybe buy something else. If I'm listening to MIDI "Toxic" and being bombarded by flashing backgrounds and fake ads, neocircles ads, and five blogs, I'll just grab what I came for and get out as fast as possible.
