I HATE the icons, from a guild leaders point of view, the mess the layout up whenever I use css coding for the text boxes otherwise I don't really mind them o_O

I agree with Rune, it would make the top bar a bit to busy. Just thought I'd add that if you hover over the image of recieving an item from someone, there is a tooltip that will tell you who it was sent to. :)

I like the buttons, they are so cute! ^_^

Not being able to see tooltips in user shops and from the event icons was something I greatly missed when I switched to Firefox. But, there is an extension that someone told me about a month or so ago and it works great. The extension is called Popup ALT Attribute. Usernames and pets can have up to 20 characters each. In the small chance of that happening, it would be hard to display that.

Um, I don't have that and have always used firefox for neopets and I've always been able to hover over my events and see the info. Can't see the alt text in shops but it seems set up correctly with the event icons for me o_O

It looks okay as text on the yellow sidebar (although it is a little too busy), but it wouldn't work on other sidebars, which are darker or have more of a design.

I tried to make an image to explain this, i can't edit as well as o_O :P

anyways, maybe allow eight or so characters in the petname/username before a ...

ex: Welcome, xxxxxxxx... | Pet: xxxxxxxx... | NP: 1,000,000

siggy still is fixed :oops:

To be honest, I like the icons the way they are now. They are clear, and neatly tucked away. Also, I would like to see my full username, because I'm like that. I say keep the icons, but then again, I do have the Halloween siderbar, and the icons are ultra funky.

The only problems I have with the icons is when a) they just don't show up; b) the wrong icon shows up (especially with trades; and c) when I get a gift box icon and forget to click "Show All". Then I just feel bad, I can't thank whoever gave me what.

The topbar idea at this point I don't think? would work. Premium members have a Portal link now up there after the NP.

Name: XXXXXXXX Pet: XXXXXXXX NP: 00000 Portal.

It is a big help, I have to say. So I can see where having an Icon or something show up there, even if it just took you to Your Events page so you could see what's up, would be nice. Maybe they could do it that way? Keep the regular icons, but add a little star or something.
