Clickable Sidebars?

I'd like to have more basic sidebars likes the obvious normal colours, but I was also thinking why don't Neopets have some kind of themed sidebar to do with the Paintbrushes ?

For example if you painted your pet sponge the sidebar could be changed to sponge and so forth for other colours like skunk, robot, disco, darigan etc

However I think that if they did do this, you can only get the sidebar with the coloured pet you have. For example if you had a disco pet and painted over it with a clay p/b you'd lose the disco and gain the clay....

I'm only saying this so people won't collect them and brag, like they do with avatars.

Anyone agree?

Its a good idea but I personally don't see it working out well--------- I see all of the popular colors (like darigan, faerie, royalty ect) having awesome sidebars raising the paint brush prices to horrible (not that some aren't already)horrible heights. And I really dont want to pay 700 million for a darigan paint brush someday

I think having some clickables espically for the popular colors being better in the long run. But thats just my opinion for all the little that that counts to TNT.

I think it'd be neat if we could set our lookups to display a sidebar we'd acquired. This would be a way of showing them off, like avatars. Those who wanted custom sidebars on their lookups could still code over them as usual.

The basic, free sidebar skins are a great idea that I've been pushing for quite awhile. However, I'm sort of confused... what do you all mean by "clickable sidebars"? o_O

As for the ultra-light, it's a nice idea but it has problems. As Winter says, it'd be very difficult to code. Plus, with the images cached the first time you they're loaded, it probably wouldn't make a difference in restocking or refreshing time.

What about us poor (literally) people who didn't get the maraqua sidebar, hm? I'm so flipping sick of that yellow I could scream.

You can already have one of the other neopets sidebars on your lookup though, mine currently has the halloween sidebar which I don't actually have

I think it would be nice to have some basic coloured sidebars for when you just fancy a change but I'd like them even more if they'd just concentrate on making sure those theme sidebars that they do release aren't utterly impossible to get :roll:

Some of us are too lazy or inexperienced to code all that. I meant selecting it from a list on the prefs page, or just having it automatically be the one you were using. Alternatively, it could have something on the listing like Unlockable Sidebars: 3 similar to what we have now for avatars.

Maybe, if you go to haunted woods, you could get a halloween black/orange sidebar, but only for the time you are browsing HW. If you go to Terror Mountain, you get a winter sidebar, but only for the time you are in Terror mountain, and so on.
